Yip. They are failing big time. People losing jobs left right and centre and he has nothing to offer.

Baw jaws actually being held to account by a journalist, asking 'what do you actually mean when you say turn the tide in 12 weeks?' He responds by backtracking, that's what I'd like to happen, he says.
What's the point in closing the schools but leaving pubs & restaurants open?
Feel for you guys being ruled by a clown. Mind you, all we got from Mutti Angela last night was a ticking off that this was our last chance to do what we’re told before she decides to send us all to our bedrooms. Apparently as many empty supermarket shelves in Germany as the UK. Gonna be interesting when we get back to Bremen. We’re in a (cough cough) “alternative” district where supermarket shopping is pretty rare.

Will school teachers get full pay when Schools are closed?
Johnson. Worst press conference so far. Just awful. The main message that will be heard is “end June...off you go to Costa del Sol”. If had an almost light hearted tone in parts.
This time next week he’ll be standing there talking about hundreds of deaths each day. Noticeable that the two medical experts beside him chose not to comment on his 12 weeks nonsense.

It was dreadful on the economy as well. It appears he doesn’t understand the level of shut down that’s happening. He needs to get money into companies to meet their payroll or he is going to have higher unemployment than we have ever had before.
The end of the corona virus will be met with riots on the streets if people can’t feed their families and start losing houses.

No mention of over 70’s and people with underlying illnesses to meet distancing measures? As someone who works on the frontline with an underlying condition I’m actually ****ting myself that I catch it. Until it’s official I still have to attend. Sounds selfish af but I’m genuinely worried about this.
I would think it is a deliberate policy. If most, or all, companies aren't covered for this kind of event then allowing them to remain open at least allows them to bring in some sort of money. Businesses are struggling big time. If they weren't allowed to trade at all more of them would go bust.
