That's pretty strict and very imposing/limiting on larger families. (Unless "support bubble" means more than I thought it did)

The BBC presenter and GP Dr Xand was tremendous on the one show last night, pure dead pan

The Lothian figure today is a wee bit concerning.
Two schools in my council area (one primary school and one high school) have had cases confirmed and contact tracing is underway.
Yet UK government now allowing thousands to descend upon Doncaster racecourse for the St Leger I see.
One rule for elitist sport and one rule for the pleb sports then, or the fact that Dido Harding just happens to conveniently sit on the Jockey Club board too.
Corrupt to the core.
The Edinburgh Live report is based on the Covid Symptom Study app which has 1,558 users in West Lothian, of which they're reporting 0.14% are symptomatic. So 2 people! I stopped updating that app weeks ago as it seemed a bit pointless with the increased testing that's going on. I'm not sure what the breakdown of the 29 Lothian cases is today but there's nothing in the previous week's testing results that looks particularly concerning for West Lothian (1 positive in last three days, although there were 14 in the 4 days prior to that).
Scotland's CMO confirms it's not feasible to have another complete national lockdown.
Hancock is well into the gee-gees too:

If we do then I hope we make it based on households rather than people. I don't think it makes sense to be people other than for enforcement.
I could go out with 5 friends from 5 other households and my fiancé could do the same with her pals, but the 2 of us would be breaking the rules when we visit a single family of 5?
Getting a bit concerned for our 2 family trip up north next month.
Refusing to rule something out is hardly making things up. A national lockdown must be extremely unlikely, but 6 months ago it was equally unlikely, it happened though. I would say refusing to rule it out again is more about trying to make people comply with guidance.
Breakdown of today's cases by health board;
Greater Glasgow and Clyde - 63
Lothian - 29
Lanarkshire - 19
Forth Valley - 10
Ayrshire and Arran - 9
Grampian - 8
Fife - 7
Tayside - 7
Borders - 3
Highland - 3
Dumfries and Galloway - 1
CMO presumably says its not feasible to have another lockdown as the UK government say there is to be no extension of the furlough and other schems - unlike some other European countries that long ago assured there's would be extended.
NS doesn't rule it out as she's part of the political group of parties putting pressure on the UK government to extend furlough etc..
As no-one knows what is going to happen with the virus I personally think its unwise to rule out anything. Particularly after what happened to Australia when their, much milder, winter set in.
