That made me feel sick. I'm pleased the lad has walked from the ring, but 2 recent fights have shown that means nothing. The German Groves beat is still in a coma as far as I know. That was some consistent punishment doled out by Smith - he is a world champion in 2017, no doubt.
I agree his corner should've pulled him out a couple of rounds before the end. I suppose they were thinking that if he went the distance with a quality operator like smith it would've opened a lot of doors for him. In the end all they did was subject their fighter to a horrific beating.Quote:
