I went in London before going to a Spurs game at Wembley when they were playing there. I totally messed up my timing and had to ask for and pay the bill before my steak even came. Was walking out the restaurant with my mouth still full :greengrinQuote:

Visited La Casa on Leith Walk on Saturday. Food was excellent. Went for the set tapas menu for 2 at £20pp, it could’ve fed 4. Criminal amount of food wasted. Staff were very good and Covid compliance excellent.
Farcical that it had to close at 6pm. Our ‘dinner’ booking was 1630, latest possible and also a shame we couldn’t enjoy a bottle of wine which probably resulted in the bill being at least £20 less than it would’ve been.
Definitely return.

Not really restaurants but visited a couple of pubs recently.
Sunday lunch in Woodland Creatures was superb. Melt in the mouth rib of beef and all the trimmings.
Then today I visited One Cannonmills. Excellent value and interesting menu.
Both venues set up really well for Covid mitigation and great to see them both relatively busy. Definitely return to both.

Had a fish supper from The Chippy by Spencer today.
Probably the best fish supper in Edinburgh. Very, very good and imo better than Berties and the Fishmarket which I also think are very good.
