A toss up to see who gets sacked first. Gray or Naismith.
One win in eleven games for Hearts
All I kept hearing was Jambos were gonna split the old firm & the new central/south Americans were going to tear up the SPL... How's that working out 😂
One European game in. If this is the squad that was designed to manage the impact of the midweeks, then it's going to be a lot of fun!
Great win for the Steel men. Amazing what a team playing as a team with total commitment can manage. We are miles away from that level of energy and effort
Another dent in their title challenge!
Hows the gorgie gimps doing?
**** the hertz

FT Aberdeen 2 Killie 0

Aberdeen look decent. Clear style of play, as well as good recruitment. 3rd for them this season I think.
Goal score for hearts, I did...
Watched Motherwell v Hearts earlier.
I thought Motherwell were excellent and played exactly like I'd like to see Hibs play against them.
Right from the start they pressed the Hearts players and fought for every ball.
If it wasn't for Craig Gordon it could have been six or seven.
First time I'd seen Zach Robinson who never gave their defence a second's peace.
I didn't realise Lennon Miller had just turned 18 today. He looks a player.
And Paul McGinn has a new lease of life.
Killie really struggling with the European and league games it seems. Happens to every Scottish team. We toiled with it last season.
One fan needing 3-0 for a million on the super 6 score predictor, TBF should be more than 2, Liverpool very strong at home.
While I've never been convinced that playing two games a week should be an insurmountable burden for footballers, the fact the European qualifiers come so early may, I concede, mske the switch in styles tricky to manage.
Personally I'd scrap the Euro spot for fifth place, possibly even fourth. I think the biggest challenge our teams face is not the number of games but that they're just not good enough. If we're being honest nobody thinks that 5th-placed season under LJ merited a European spot.
I think the travel is often forgotten about as well. 2 games a week when you’re only travelling a couple of hours by coach is completely different to airports, flying for (potentially) several hours, strange locations/food, possibly a few timezones of a difference, then repeating that journey in reverse to immediately prepare for a domestic fixture must take its toll, as I’m sure it did for Hibs last year. I also doubt that non OF teams are flying in first class, luxury hotels etc either.
For some reason there is also some kind of psychological barrier that playing Thursday/Sunday is a tougher turnaround that wed/sat. It can certainly put pressure on the European team if their competitors are consistently turning out decent results on a Saturday that they’re trying to match or better on a Sunday.
He's just got Killie through a tough tie against a Scandinavian side who traditionally are very tough for Scottish teams due to them being mid season. By all accounts they then played well away in Copenhagen who finished above Man Utd in the UCL last season.
The reactions of some football fans are just baffling.
Derek McInnes is probably near the bottom of the list of managers in the SPL likely to lose their job this season.
Terrible VAR intervention to rule out Bournemouths last minute winner
How they can call that a factual decision and not send the ref over is baffling

Che Adams scores winner for Torino in a 2-1 win over Atalanta
My word does Shankland look out of shape.
Would be amazed if anyone spends any kind of money for him now.
Have the Motherwell Ultras moved or had a fall out with the club? No sign of them in their normal place at the game this afternoon
Some goal by Melkersen

Ask anyone who was in Luzern last year if they thought it was meaningless. Or that got to experience watching Hibs at a place like Villa Park (despite the result). And then there’s the money the club will have made and that’s without getting to the group stages. Between that and the experiences for supporters, it’s far from meaningless.
Ché Adams scored for Torino Vs Atalanta this evening.
Liam Henderson starring for Empoli as they are currently 2.0 up at the Stadio Olimpico v Roma with less than 25 minutes to go.
I don't disagree with any of that. It's a grand day out for the fans, similar to Scotland at the Euros. But in terms of the European competitions themselves I simply think there are far too many qualifying rounds played at absurdly early stages of the season. I include the so-called Champions League in that, an event I think should comprise solely of actual champions (as it did when known as the European Cup). Making it harder to get a European place would incentivise clubs to work harder at getting better and would hopefully raise the standard of our game.
Access to that higher level shouldn't come easy though. Scraping fifth shouldn't be too big an ask for a club of Hibs' size in Scotland, yet even that looks have slipped beyond us. If you scrapped Euro qualification for fifth place and reinstated qualification for the winners of the League Cup that would help focus minds on success.
Plenty of football on tonight . Carabao Cup SkySports + . 7:45 . 8:00 .
Birmingham v Fulham 8:00 SkySports Main Event.
O' Riley subbed off injured 9 minutes into his debut for Birghton.
Watching Crystal Palace v Norwich . Palace 1-0 up after 90 seconds.
That Cochrane that played for Hearts is having a nightmare for Birmingham. Gave away a penalty then almost cost another goal with a horrendous passback.
Stoke City 5-0 away to Middlesbrough .
56 mins horrible deflection Coventry 1 Oxford 0
Think Porto has an assist for one of the Watford goals .
Palace after scoring 2-0 .
Blackburn 1 Blackpool 2
Middlesbrough 0 Stoke City 5 FT
Barnsley 1 Sheff U 0
Millwall 0 Leyton Orient 1
Palace 3-0 Game over .
4-0 now .
I don’t how other folk feel about it , maybe they like the bigger clubs in the latter stages of the cups though it feels like all this seeding stuff isn’t giving smaller teams a chance anymore … it’s a bit like the semi finals of the Carabao cup in they are played over two legs instead of one…
