I don't really have an issue with this as long as those people are trained and fully ready to pick up the workload if cases rise and more contacts need traced. Calling it an incredible waste of money is like calling a warehouse full of unused PPE a waste of money. Being prepared to deal with a pandemic costs money that might turn out not to have been needed - it's the very nature of it. Obviously it's a balancing act but we can't expect every contact tracer to have a full workload right now, otherwise there would be no contingency for an escalation.Quote:
