Scotland u19s getting battered by Iceland right now 4-0 after 40 mins. We look miles off it. A few players playing in positions that they don't for their club. Thats a very SFA thing to do .

Youth games are always middle of the day for some reason. Its in Tirana.
FT Netherlands 4 Scotland 0
bit of a howler by Sophie Howard for the 2nd and Rachael Corsie non too clever for the 4th
they go again on Tuesday
I’m not a huge fan of Howard but she’s been on in league games. It’s just a lack of players challenging for defence. Keeper and CBs need to be replaced but we are struggling to develop good defenders. McLean at DM will be top class. Watson will be great too assuming she recovers from her ACL. But there aren’t much coming behind them. That’s all down to the poor league and coaching setup in Scotland.
Eilidh Adams has signed a contract extension through to the summer of 2026
Maciver starts in goals against the Netherlands tonight
FT's
Dundee u 0 Celtic 2
Montrose 0 Hibernian 8, four for Ferguson with the 4th coming on 90+2
Partick Thistle 3 Hamilton 0
Rangers 3 Spartans 1
67 mins played Hearts 0 Glasgow City 0
33 mins played Motherwell 0 Aberdeen 0
The game's on youtube at the moment if anyone is looking for a Sunday football fix, currently one nil through a Eilidh Adams goal.
Also, the Hearts game is next week 3pm Saturday at ER. Tickets are free
Watched a bit . Around 200 watching in YouTube. Suspect Won’t be a big crowd next week despite being free. Wasn’t last couple at ER and PBS.
I read club funding womens team to the tune of £400k a year . £400k taken out first team budget.
You can tell women love playing. But should be Amature level players in Scotland. Not enough crowd interest to make it sustainable
You can't say that unless you've had a conversation with the Gordon's and they've said 'we'd stick 400k more into the men's team if we didn't have a women's team'.
Compare the game with 10 years ago, evidence it's growing.
I would say one thing I think would allow the game to grow more would be to return the league to a summer season, which I don't think they will. Reasons being it won't be competing as much for paying spectators or media coverage with the men's game and it's a very family-friendly game and I think people would be more inclined to take young kids to the game when the weather isn't baltic.
Sky Sports Cup QF results
Celtic 3 Glasgow City 0
Partick Thistle 2 Montrose 1
Hibernian 7 Dundee United 0...Adams hat-trick, Notley, Doran-Barr, Shivs & i think it was Bowie the other
Rangers 7 Boroughmuir 0
Plus the best way to grow the Hibernian women's team and make it sustainable is to invest in it, make it successful, market it well, and provide an enjoyable match day experience. The women's team have played in front of thousands at both Easter Road and Tynecastle, had some cracking players come through, and will surely continue to grow going forward.
I honestly enjoy going to watch the women's team more than the men's team more often than not nowadays.
