Right away the hibee hordes or those that had bothered to travel through in the 6000 crowd could see that this guy was class head and shoulders above everything else on the pitch

Paul Hartley put HIBS ahead just before half time Marino Keith equalised on 52 minutes for the Bairns A minute later goalscorer Paul Hartley got a rush of blood to the head and saw red
Hibs were now up against it but Franck Sauzee now played our ‘ get out of jail card’ flicking the ball sideways to the unlikely attacking figure of Derek Collins whose shot from outside the box was deflected high and looped over the goalkeeper’s head before resting in the Falkirk pokey
Alex Marinkov also made his debut and ‘Crunchie’ played for Falkirk

The match ended in a crescendo of noise and wild celebration
Hibs would reach the Scottish Cup Final in this season but would lose out in a replay to Celtic

Always thought he should have been in the full squad earlier than he was.
Only 5 and 6 years ago and just over 8k at ER. Our cup triumph totally changed our club.
Here Billy none of this trendy wing-back stuff-Eddie had moved to wing half in 1958 and was still good enough to play at the World Cup in Sweden when he made the journalists select team for the group stage. As you rightly say-the end of an era-interesting that Joe Baker played with all the members of the Famous Five in that couple of years.
