Thought the main event was great. The ending was predictable. Night 2 should be better.
Main event and La Knight vs Jacob fatu was my favourite matches on the show, agree with other poster saying he expected more, will watch night 2 tomorrow.
Yeah as soon as they mentioned about Heyman owing Seth a favour could see what was going to happen at the end with Heyman.
WWE have bought AAA and will be running a world's colide show with NXT soon.
Don’t like the Heyman thing at all. Should be with Reigns.
Been so poor so far. Hoping for much better tonight and I hope it doesn’t end with just a clean win for Cody.
The money would be in Punk vs Reigns with Heyman turning on Punk and going back with Reigns, not watched tv constantly in years so i have no idea the history with Seth and Heyman in the past few months.
Gunther and Jey should have been much better and the fans didn't really seem into it, simple really, little back and forth then Gunther gets some heat on Jey who makes the comeback with the fans getting behind him, i know its a different era and different style they didn't really seem to go all out either, unless its just me expecting to much.
Night 2 looks a better card, no idea how Cena will end, from the past would expect some run ins, i think WWE would want to be able to say Cena was 17 time champ so i think he will win somehow... fans will be pissed if Logan beats AJ.
20 minutes in and we've had a snickers advert, a slim jim advert and no wrestling.
Then gunther comes down with his 6 title defences in 259 days, so less than one a month.
Grim.
Not seen it mentioned but wwe have bought aaa.
Which might explain why aew have cooled their partnership with them. Not good for Mexican wrestling.
Wee get vikingo though which is good for them.
Usos spear and frog splash are ugly. His spear doesn't look good at all.
Cargill vs uso was decent, even if there was quite a few sloppy spots.
Cargill catching off the top tope twice was impressive.
Holy ****!
That was absolutely rubbish.
Just watched night 2 and enjoyed it more than night 1, fans seemed to be into it early on with solid bouts, the womans 3 way, street fight and the IC four way, crowd went crazy for the victory.
Don't really care much for Logan and i skipped the other womans match, a huge moment for Joe Hendry to have a WM match, he got a little bit of offensive in and loved the finish and the angle it was shot at with the RKO from no where.
I was pleased to see an old school kind of match for the main event, just a shame most of the fans cheered Cena and booed Cody which would have made it much better if it was reversed with Cena getting booed, not seen any TV since the turn so couldn't say if that's been happening before last night or if it was just a WM crowd, not sure if travis is the next celeb to get into the ring, Cody got a bit of heat back but not sure where it goes from here with him coming out and pretty much costing him the match.
Thought it was pretty poor overall to be honest night 1s triple threat and the ICT match on night 2 being my favourites.
Falling away from it now I think, it’s probably old age but the focus on celebrity grinds my gears and it’s went into overdrive since Netflix, that was pointless for night 2 imo spoiled the match, too many matches to make it the 2 day event takes the shine off it now as well, summerslam going to 2 days as well shows where the business is grabbing as much as possible with no real concerns about how much it’s diluting the product.
I finished work at midnight so decided to sit up and watch it, got through it all through gritted teeth but once Travis Scott came out I switched it off and went to sleep. Borefest and becoming utterly ridiculous.
Over the 2 nights all they were interested in was showcasing the celebrities in the audience most of whom I’d never heard of
That was garbage. If the Rock wasn’t going to bother with Wrestlemania, then he shouldn’t have bothered being part of a Cena heel turn.
As great as Rock was, he does more damage than good now for storylines.
That seems to have been what’s been happening with him for a few years. Fell out with Vin Diesel over the Fast and Furious franchise, opened his mouth too many times about Black Adam and annoyed DC, it wasn’t a popular thing that he got himself onto the board of the company that owns WWE and UFC, it doesn’t seem to have been a popular reentry into WWE. It seems that he’s gone from being one of the most popular people globally to having rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way - I could be totally wrong on a lot of that, just how it’s seemed to me.
Caught up with it all now, mostly pretty flat overall. The triple threat on Saturday night was not bad, and thought the end of the Randy Orton match was quite funny, if a bit obvious it was coming. He seemed like he was enjoying it, and only found out watching that his opponent was from Edinburgh! Women’s triple threat was ok.
One thing that constantly stood out to me was how light the area was. I generally think it’s better when the arena is mostly dark. Even when they’ve done open air arenas in the past, it’s gotten darker as time passes and the sun goes down, but it was brightly lit the whole time on both nights. Just felt like it lost a bit of the sparkle of the event, only my opinion of course
Joe is a decorated amateur wrestler, golds and silvers at English and British championships also competed at the 2018 commonwealth games.
I only heard about him about a year or so ago, i think his theme music helped him get over more and he was the talk of the internet.
No idea what part of Edinburgh he's from and if he likes football and who his team would be.
Will try and give TVs a chance again, if not be back for backlash.
Didn't realise that. Knew he was a Watsons boy. Think he's lived in Leith previously. When he used to do entrances that were piss-takes of his opponents or the town the show was in, at least one of them was filmed on Leith Links. When I briefly lived on Commercial Street, I saw him a few times in Lost in Leith too.
His uncle is the ex-SNP MP Drew Hendry.
Faction With Seth, Heyman and Bron at the minute.
