Gutting first half. Can't understand why we're resorting to throwing the ball to Austin bloody Collie given our options.
Broncos look very comfortable and must like a 10 point advantage and getting the ball next.
Not surprised so far sadly.

We have to get at Manning
If anyone can do this it is Brady and BB. Plenty of time left to go.
Watched nfl for years and never understood how if there is 3 penalties on the field they offset? Surely the team with the 2 fouls should be punished?
I'm on the verge of going a run and forgetting about this. Utterly inept.
Superb!! 19-3 :)
17 points behind and absolutely clueless on both sides of the football.
Wes Welker has to get MVP for this game for taking out our top defensive safety without being penalised - it's completely changed the game.
Ah well, considering the HUGE losses to injury throughout the season it was fantastic to get this far. Well done Denver, good season.
Tebow would have won this game...
It's part of the reason I don't 100% agree with the plaudits of this season proving Manning to be 'the best ever'.
With the weapons he has at his disposal, ANY QB could have had a great year in Denver.
Not to take away from his awesome numbers this year but it truly has been a team effort.
Oh dear
Brutal - Denver are all over us and we can't do a thing about it.
Ah well, at least Spring Training isn't far away...sure I said the same thing around this time last year :greengrin
Humbled by a far superior football team - well done to Denver - hopefully it's Seattle they face in the Superbowl as that'll be some contest! :agree:
Broncos fans are the first group of people ever to be excited about going to New Jersey!
What a start! Fumble recovery by San Francisco!
Those fans are loud, I'll have to turn my telly down :greengrin
Given all of that, it's amazing we've managed to get as far as we have! We need to reclaim Talib from FA next season and hope we can get these guys fit, in addition to some sensible (hah!) trading/draft selections.
The future still looks encouraging, as a lot of rookies came good for us this year!
Terrible personal foul call there...
Colin Kaepernick - wow! :not worth
Dreadful personal foul call against San Francisco - another tight encounter here!
Touchdown!
booooooooo 49ers TD
Wow Kaepernick great pass after a bit of luck getting to that line of scrimmage
49ers looking good, crucial stop there on 3rd down, 17-13 SF
Brutal tackle on Davis.
No wonder Harbaugh is going absolutely mental on the sidelines - roughing the punter given as running into the punter, followed by some serious delay in throwing an obvious intentional grounding flag.
Seahawks have benefited from some awful calls so far, though still trail.
Cracking TD throw on 4th and 7!
Wow!
Seattle take the lead again after an outstanding free pass to Kearse
The crowd really is loud in Seattle, even on the tele.
Huge play by the Seahawks D there.
CK fumble! Downed inside the 10!
Oh my. That looks nasty.
Ouch!!!
Yeah, that looks a sore one. Seems crazy they can't review that though.
Should be a San Francisco ball but not reviewable...
Harbaugh will be apoplectic right now :agree:
big calls going against 49ers, and Bowman wont be dancing anytime soon
Wish they would stop showing that!
SF ball anyway
Feel sick after that, don't think he'll be playing football for a while
Another turnover!
Wow. Terrible pick there.
Easy interception, awful throw.
Looked like the Lawrence Taylor tackle on Joe Theismann!
4th & 2 after the break, interesting couple of minutes coming up
Game over!
Oh what an ending!
OMG that interview :greengrin
No he wasn't, I can imagine that being all over YouTube already.
that was a brilliant few hours, Super Bowl next!
I love Richard Sherman :greengrin
Could have gone either way, but we're in the Superbowl for the second time in our history. Delighted.
Good win for Seattle but it should have been the 49ers, had the refs called a consistent game. Not seen any interview with Harbaugh yet but I can imagine he's livid at some of those 'calls'.
Having said that, I wanted the Seahawks to win so I wasn't hugely upset.
With nothing against them going forward though, I hope the Broncos win the Superbowl and piss all over Sherman in the process.
'The greatest there ever was' - give yourself peace son.
It'll be interesting to see how he matches up against Demariyus Thomas (I assume that's who he'll be covering) with Manning throwing in his direction. With no disrespect to Crabtree or Kaepernick, last night was hardly a demanding test for him.
I've no arguments Sherman is a great CB but 'the best there ever was'? That's some level of arrogance, on a par with Randy Moss declaring himself to be the best WR in NFL history
Did he actually say he was the best EVER? I cant find any link to that. He said postmatch that he was the best corner in the league, and thats a pretty unanimous opinion amongst all the pundits. His stats (qb rating of <45 passing to his side, league leader in interceptions) back it up. Best ever is a bit steep, he needs to prove it over a longer career.
It all depends if you like him I guess. And if youre a A Seattle fan helps :greengrin And you also have to factor in he has history with Crabtree, who is a bellend by all accounts) and being an intelligent Stanford graduate (straight outta Compton as well) has issues with not getting drafted by his ex coach Harbaugh.
I think his interview has a lot to do with the fact that the 49ers are a bunch of gob*****s they were probably winding up the Seattle D all game and he just so happened to make a huge play about a minute before being interviewed. See how they were winding up Carolina and to some extent the packers D's as well.
With both colorado and washington legalising marijuana... Is this years Super Bowl the first Smokeabowl?
I'll get me coat.

Superbowl ball design :agree:
last years superbowl the neutrals cheered on Baltimore and this year i feel the neutrals will side with Denver, the Broncos just get on with it while the seahawks rub alot of folk the wrong way, personally im rooting for Denver as the more attacking team while seattle are built to win ugly.
Surprising that Denver hasnt played a top 5 defense yet this season. They played the Chiefs twice when that team was in freefall and had lost its best players to injury.
I didn't realise Marshawn Lynch had trademarked 'Beast Mode' and gains royalties (which are donated to charitable causes) every time it's used.
Matt Kemp from the L.A. Dodgers also uses the expression and approached Lynch with $100k to enable him to use it but Lynch refused (which is fair enough IMO).
Bit snowy in NYC at the moment.
So apparently there was nothing wrong with Welker's hit on Talib despite all and sundry coming out and slamming him for it.
Protection of the players only extends so far I see.
Some interesting MVP odds;
Manning unbackable at 6/5
Sherman unbackable at 25/1(for a corner?!)
Welker 20/1 could be the toughest receiver for Seattles big DBS to cover.
Harvin 20/1 bound to see a lot of the ball, will be a factor on kick returns too.
Michael Bennett 100/1 wow this looks generous. Could get a few sacks and on fire in the postseason.
Byron Maxwell, our cornerback who isn't Richard Sherman :greengrin could have a big day if he's targeted by Manning.
On the other hand the last ten MVPs have all gone to offensive players :dunno:

wee motivational speech from coach payton :)
Getting my bag packed, flying to NYC in a few hours!
The guy I watch NFL with up here got offered a free ticket by one of his friends (who's involved in getting the London NFL games organised) if he could get himself to New York. Couldn't believe it when he said no because he just got married and doesn't want to upset his new wife by spending £1000 going over on his own to watch it! What an idiot..... :greengrin
You're kidding Sergio?! How could he turn it down?!
Right Gents and Jessies. I am off to NYC, let's hope for a cracking Super Bowl. :agree:
Well I decided on both Seattle corners (Sherman at 28/1 and Byron Maxwell at a ludicrous 200/1) and Moreno at 20/1 (I have a feeling the broncos might be able to run the ball against us).
I have monday off work, beer in the fridge and pizza delivery planned :greengrin Can't wait.
Can't wait for tomorrow night, I'm warming up by going to the varsity trophy match at meggetland between Edinburgh and Napier uni's. Anyone else going along? £4 entry k.o 2:30
Does the Super Bowl not get its own thread? :greengrin
Don't really know how this will go. I think Seattle have a decent chance but they will need to play better than they did against San Francisco .
