It's free money for Budge - probably one of the only people on the planet managing to make a profit from "ownership" of a share in a football club. The suckers keep putting it in and she gets her cut of it through increased net asset value, interest on the loans, family contracts for the building work. We've been saying since it started the foundation of flumps will fade away as results and regular relegation take their toll but they just keep giving!

There was a stat produced yesterday, from a jambo, on the £50m"additional" revenue that Hearts have had since going bust in 2012, reconstituting, and then exiting administration in June 2014
It was an update on this 2023 story (at which point the figure was £41m extra revenue since 2013)

It was (roughly speaking) saying Hearts have had circa £20m from Foundation of Hearts donations and £30m from Benefactor donations.
That is on top of all the usual revenue that every club has access to ie regular gate revenue, hospitality, merchandise, TV revenue, prize money (home & Europe) and player trading.
Fifty Million Quid. Beyond what everyone else raises normally.

It's a huge amount of money. Approx 4/5 million a year. Add in the euro group stage millions too. Often wonder if Hibs had a similar opportunity if we would have made better use of it or ended up doing the same as them.Quote:
