Maybe 8 years or so ago I was in Italy and went to the Milan derby. Was surprised by how poor the quality of football was. Think it was either 1-1 or 2-22. Milan (I think) equalised with the last kick of the ball, literally. They didn’t even kick off after the goal. Quite enjoyed the experience, less so the actual football on show. Can still remember an Inter fan walking around the front of the stand head in his hands or staring into the distance for about 10 minutes in an attempt to show everyone how much he cared and how much he was hurting. Crap games can happen anywhere. I had hospitality at a Newcastle v Chelasea game a number of years ago. There must have been about 200m worth of players on show but ut was an awful game. The only thing that made it decent was Newcastle scored two goals fairly close together in the second half so the atmosphere was decent but frankly the fame was pish
Antony (aye him from Man Utd now out on loan) having a great game for Betis against Athletic Bilbao.
Done more in an hour in this game than for months at Utd.
Losing Alverez was a big blow. They have the best striker in the world in Haaland and their systems only plays one up front so I can completely see why he wanted to go leave, but I don’t think it’s a big push to say that Alvarez is in the top 5 for that position. He wasn’t replaced and it’s hurt them.Quote:
