Takeaway from Nok's Kitchen last night. Have had lunch there a couple of times but never takeaway. Have to say it was just as good.
A very good Thai restaurant.
Went to Butternut Squash in Portobello tonight for dinner, £10 for a 3 course set menu. It was lovely :aok:
I was in Dusit at lunchtime, fixed menu @ £15.75.
I've been there in the evening and although its very, very good it is expensive.
It was a decent sized menu and good portion size for a lunch. Well worth the money.
Rustom at Haymarket for the gov deal, very tasty!
Don't think I've ever had a bad meal at Vittoria's and last night was no exception. Calamari, Halibut, and tiramisu with a couple pints of Moretti. :aok:
With £10 off, 20% season ticket discount, and a £50 voucher I'd almost forgotten I bought at the start of the year the £90 bill became £13. :greengrin
The Stockbridge one was packed we could only get an earlier time when I booked. Quite a few famous pubs still shut Haymarket Bar as well.
Done well this week with the discounted grub Pizza Express, 5 Guys, McDonalds breakfast and lunch at the Highland Wildlife Park!
Not sat in yet but had a takeaway pizza from Paolozzi up on Forrest Road, very impressed with it. Looking forward ti sitting in and trying out the rest of the menu.
Owner is a big Hibby as well!
Took advantage of the eat out to help out scheme for the first time yesterday. Blend Cafe in Perth High Street. Large latte and slice of peanut butter brownie for £2.55.
As for the brownie, chocolate ganache with peanut butter swirled through it is the best way to describe it. 🤤
The itison voucher scheme for Leith Walk launches on Monday, spend £5 on a voucher that gives you a £10 spend. An initiative to help businesses recover trade lost due to tram works. There was a similar scheme for Constitution Street earlier in the year.
I don't know if you've been down that way in the evening recently. My wife and I were at the Chop House during the week and thought we'd go for a drink beforehand. Only one bar was open down that way, the Port o Leith, it was Covid-19 distanced full so we ended up in the Bowlers Rest, Mitchell Street, also Covid-19 rules apply. Really friendly wee place.
You wouldn't need vouchers there, I couldn't believe how cheap it was. One extreme to the other.
