I was thinking about trading Peyton Manning but I'm going to tip my hand. Screw that. What if Peyton comes out guns blazing? I'm keeping him, I have until Week 7 to make a trade or pick up some other QB to fill in for one week.

I almost opted for Tate instead and I'd been thinking about him this week (normally Seattle aren't an automatic thought for receivers, but Flynn adds a new dimension, so why not?) but after reading the interview with Rice, he sounds like he's ready to go.
Incidentally, I'm quite genuinely surprised nobody has taken a wee gamble on Shonn Greene (RB Jets) yet. Considering Ryan's promise to return to the "ground and pound" offense, where Greene is a regular starter (evidently a lack of confidence in the throwing ability of both QBs) and capable of a decent running return. I thought about him but having drafted Redman, opted to go for another receiver.

What happens now?
Now the draft is finished i hope everyone is happy with their picks. I will load them into the teams at some point over the weekend and then everyone can prepare for week .
How did everyone feel the draft went? I thought it went on a bit longer than i thought it would but i thought it would be worth a go with the offline draft to ensure everyone got a decent chance at picking.
I'm not totally happy with my picks because I didn't look at the schedule so I ended up with a lot of players out in week 7. Next time I know to take schedule into consideration.Quote:

I enjoyed it, was quite long but I don't know how many nights I would have 3 hours uninterrupted to sit and do a draft, so perhaps this is the best way.
It didnt help that I had hardly heard of most of the players after the first 3 rounds, so i'm not even sure if i'm happy with my picks or not!

I knew I was a little soft at the RB position but Johnson's productivity should increase from last year and Redman is going to be the starting back in Pittsburgh until Mendenhall is healthy again.

I think it's good analysis but, to be fair on the drafters (us) it's not like we all had a chance of our first choice players. I know that I didn't get anyone that I REALLY wanted and after the first couple of rounds I actually had to look at lists and read a little about the players I was looking at - although in some cases I just picked a guy because he was ranked high(est available) e.g., my kicker.

I'm sure Martin will get plenty of opportunities, but so will Blount, especially early on. We've seen plenty of evidence in the past to show how risky rookie running backs can be, so don't totally give up on Blount just yet."
WR Summary:
Your starting receivers should, as a unit, be adequate but not great. In particular we like Julio Jones as a top WR. Jones is our #2 ranked receiver, Marques Colston is #22, and we have Eric Decker 29th.
Reggie Wayne should serve as a very solid fourth receiver.

I thought the draft as a whole was fine. When we're doing it 3 weeks before the season starts, does it really matter if it takes 10 days to complete? This way nobody had to supper a computer autopick and I thought that was a good thing.
The fantasy evaluator started off by saying I had a crap team then went on to say that I had done well in all categories. Except for kicker, they hated my pick there, but I think that the Rams will be kicking plenty of FGs this season and Zuerlein's range will make him the best under-the-radar kicker in the draft.

Good luck to you. I would have loved to have him but I don't have a strong enough squad to keep injured players. I was so far down the draft that all the really good guys had gone so I needed to get an RB in my team that would actually be playing. Ryan thinks he will be back by game 1. His doctors disagree. Is is all smoke and mirrors? I have no idea. All I know is that I need players that play.Quote:
