I don’t think there is much love for Hearts among the other chairmen, but they also see Hearts as important to their own financial survival (one of the larger traveling supports + derby being important to the TV deal). They did everything they could to keep Rangers in the SPL.

I find this kind of comment incredible, and we saw exactly the same during the Rangers farce. Does this mean that if one of these big clubs finished at the bottom in the relegation slot, they shouldn't be relegated? Relegation and promotion are at the heart of the game - it is about striving for success and the avoidance of failure on a level playing field where everyone follows the rules - in order to provide entertainment.
