I've read the books and enjoyed the series which is generally pretty faithfull to them (apart from 1 main character). The latest season has just been released on Amazon here and I'm looking forward to watching it.

I believe it may be based on the book Inside by John Hoskison who was a pro golfer who served years in jail after killing someone in the same circumstances as in the program.
It's one of the best books I've ever read and gives a fascinating insight into the prison system.
Watched the first couple of episodes of Limetown on Alibi, it's got a bit of potential.
Season 2 of Baptiste starts on 18/7, happy days!
I’ve been enjoying Lupin…good French crime drama, not too dark or violent …
Bbc iplayer, the watch 👍
For fans of the disk world books by Terry pratchett.
Anyone got any recommendations for next Sunday night?
Thanks. Vinyl is from the 1960s up to this decade. So plenty choice. The records are alphabetical and I take the final record from last week and jump 7 or 9 forward and do the same all night so it's pretty random, anything from ABBA to ZZ Top with plenty different stuff like blues, jazz, rock folk whatever comes up.
Watching Katla on Netflix. Set in Iceland (the country) in a remote village next to an erupting volcano.
Very good. Won't give away any of the plot but reminds me of Les Revenants.
Sons of Anarchy any good ? Very late to the party but watched a trailer on netflix and looks good
Mayans MC - spin off show from Sons of Anarchy
First two seasons are one Iplayer with the third season started this weekend.
Loved SOA and this is equally as good
That's the impression that I got, it's not the holiday camp some like to portray, I read a book a couple of months back, think it was called a bit of a stretch that was a guys diary from his time and jail, it is the mental health that is rife in prisons that got me, you get far from an easy time of it
Did anyone get to the end of Raised by Wolves? Like my sci-fi but I endured this rather than enjoyed it. Very weird.
Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but series 2 of Baptiste kicks of on Sunday night
Started watching Heist on Netflix, really good docu-drama about various different heists in America as told by the perpetrators, but they also narrate the re-enactments.
Watched the Defiant ones on Netflix over the last few days, 4 part Documentary on the rise of hip hop but mostly Dr Dre although not a huge fan I really enjoyed it was interesting to see the stories all come together
The new season of Manifest is out today, I watched the first couple of episodes last night. It’s pretty much more of the same, it’s not brilliant but it’s easy watching tv.
I watched the first and the last one for the time being and have enjoyed them.
The main character in the Bourbon thing seems like a nice bloke - too nice maybe? It strikes me a strange that things were happening at such a scale but with no nastiness, threats or violence.
It was really good. I still have this issue with the jumping backwards and forwards in time, it felt a bit like The Serpent in that respect (same director/production team?), just annoying. But you can’t argue with the acting and storytelling, no spoilers til Sunday please, I know it’s streamable on iPlayer :greengrin
Same. Just watched the first ep, moving onto the second but kind of feel I could benefit from watching the first ep again already :greengrin It's hard to pick up on subtle clues with the jumping back and forth. I will keep watching as agree about the acting and scripts.
Late to the party but started The Handmaids Tale.
2 in and I’m hooked
I’m onto season 3 of the man in the high castle and loving it. It’s very different and extremely well made.
Second part of Steve McQueens ‘Uprising’ tonight, on the bbc, outstanding filmmaking.
Just binged The Mandalorian. Awesome.
Anyone else still watching The Flash? I've absolutely no idea what goes on from ep to ep these days! 🤔
Just finished Patriot on Amazon Prime, that was one messed up programme, quite enjoyed it though.
Just started watching season one of Ted Lasso again before watching the second one and just realised it’s being released one episode a week. Gutted.
Honestly one of my favourite ever programs. It’s only flaw is it’s on Apple TV which restricts how many people see it. As can be seen by the unbelievable amount of Emmy nominations it has, it deserves to be seen by everyone. I was delighted when Jason Sudekis won best actor for it at the golden globes.
If anyone without Apple TV hasn’t seen it, I urge you to borrow a friends details to watch it. It’s amazing.
Just finished the second series of Breeders, Martin Freeman magnificent throughout, as you'd expect!
Anyone watching Snow Piercer? Without giving much away, I found the story interesting in that the events on the train mirror many real life historical/political events. Monarchy, revolution, the strive for socialism, democracy and dictatorship. Obviously the author had this in mind as he was writing the script. Once you get over listening to Sean Bean whistling through his latest set of dentures it's half decent.
Feel like I need to prefix this peeve with the fact I am a woman, but what is with the sound effects with the woman’s boxing in the Olympics? Almost every fight I’ve watched had had one or the boxers going doosh doosh doosh when landing a punch. I honestly have to mute most female fights because I can’t listen to it.
Just realised I posted this on completely the wrong thread. Please ignored me :greengrin
Must say this series of Baptiste is a pile of horse manure.
Time to retire Julien.
