Well according to the Guardian.....
But as per the post above it looks like different methods are being used. But using the FT method then yes Wales and Merthyr Tydfil specially has the highest rate per 100K in the whole of the UK.

By accurately quoting and referring to a national newspaper who take data from government sources and the John Hopkins University. Ok sure.
Better make sure nobody accurately quotes factually correct information from the Guardian newspaper again as they will make a fool of themselves.:faf:
VisitScotland won't share your view considering visitors from the rest of the UK taking short breaks in Scotland make up something like 80 per cent of our tourist trade. They'll be desperate to get open for business again, something Sturgeon will obviously be well aware of.
And how do you 'close the border'? The FM knows fine well the PM is referring to a physical checkpoint when he says a border doesn't exist and she also knows fine well she'd never really try to create one to keep out tourists from the rest of the UK. If anyone could be accused of trying to politicise this issue it's her.
AM., the FM. the PM. too
Churnin' out that boogaloo
This isn't a fight of the FM's picking. How on Earth is she trying to politicise this? She is defusing the situation.
Our British nationalist UK government have been distastefully trying to gain political capital during a global pandemic. Media sympathetic to their cause have been laying traps with their questions, all of which she has carefully sidestepped.
The inevitability of gammons continuing to find themselves frothing over an affair entirely of their creation is comical.
FWIW there are many people who have perfectly justifiable reasons to want Scotland to remain in the Union who are very pleased to see the FM going out of her way to avoid turning this into a constitutional debate.
Maybe just the company I keep, but if I had a pound for every "I'm not normally a fan, but.." type comment I've heard or post I've read over the past few days...
She's getting this right. Boris, Carlaw et al are all over the shop. The media are grasping at straws and getting nowhere.
I think our priority should be eliminating the virus here in Scotland and encouragingl people in Scotland to take there holidays here at home.. we seem to have this virus under control the last thing we need is a huge spike leading into the winter months.. the economy can recover you don’t recover from death.
Absolute rubbish. She’s demonstrating calm, statesmanlike balance, in stark contrast to the hysterics and tantrums from Boris, who is appealing to his ignorant base. It would be a dereliction of duty to rule anything out in terms of quarantining geographic hotspots. The epidemiologist I have mentioned before said localised and regionalised quarantines would be inevitable in this crisis. She was talking about London at that point. This was several Months ago.
Can I just say I'm not normally a fan of the FM but following the Scottish approach to this makes a lot more sense than trying to make any sense of the shambolic approach down here.
The FM's English equivalent is now resorting to distancing himself from bad news like Leicester but definitely doing press ups and sitting on JCB's for the cameras.
Why not? If it got Brexit "done", delivered £350m extra a week for the NHS and won an election......
I agree with all you say here.

As a British Unionist you really don't do your cause any justice by making up what can only be descibed as garbage by accusing the Scottish First Minster of trying to politicise the issue.
Questions are deliberately framed and loaded in order to get a reaction which is fair enough but the calm, measured and at all times perceptive and sympathetic responses are examples of trying to defuse a situation not politise it.
The inflammatory language originated elsewhere and was met with almost universal derision for both its content and its ignorance.
At least try to be objective in your observation as you are clutching at straws with such puerile comments.
John re-emerges out of hibernation and GB Young's normally reasoned, well presented posts go out the window. Was it a unionist full moon last night 😁
Given the apparent general reaction of people to how Sturgeon handled Johnson's grandstanding yesterday, unionists better hope the issue hasn't been politicised. :greengrin
I much prefer the term anti nationalist if you want to label posters, so yes maybe it was an anti nationalist full moon.
But I made a fool of myself (again) by accurately quoting factually correct information from a national newspaper.
I better go back into hibernation.
Never took you long did it. I posted on topic on the thread about Coronvirus, I posted factually correct and accurate information. Yet I was immediately pounced upon by the usual suspects, including you.
Look I will go back into hibernation, will happily watch from the sidelines again as don't want to get into all this again. Very tiresome.
Have a nice day.
What he's told to do would be my bet.

You seem intelligent, articulate and happy to share your opinions.
Yet when you come on HIBS.net (there's a clue in the name), you almost never seem inclined to comment on Hibs or any other football matters.
And you wonder why I'm suspicious of your input?
Away and do one.
