Did VAR not even look at it ?

McGinn not in the squad tonight...transfer out of Villa ?
SJM has a hamstring inury. Gave a good pre match interview.
The distance the ball has travelled makes that a stick on penalty. Ridiculous var took no time to look at it. A bit like the Goldson one against Celtic not looked at properly to get to the wrong decision. Sweep sweep. You would have thought the refs would have had enough of Neilson and his nonsense at the side of the pitch. Assume a red card means nothing
I don't understand the handball rules now but I do understand that Hertz and Rangers play to a different set of rules than everybody else.
Hearts and the buns reffed differently to the rest of us, VAR hadn't fixed a long culture in the referee Scotland department.
Even worse some pundits are saying it isn't a penalty
Its like we having entered a Similar mad phase when folk were going about smashing folk and not getting sent off (or blatent red cards rescinded) due to it not being 'Brutal' enough
Same time as morelos red against Aberdeen was rescinded and mcgregors blatent kick out at Ajer was deemed OK

T h that isn't a pen for me. Purely because it doesn't change the place the ball was ending up. Did St Mirren get a corner?
I thought VAR would help the officials but **** me, some of the decisions this season have been criminal.
Colin Steven our ref tomorrow. 30 yellow cards in 6 PL games so far this season. 63 yellows and 4 red cards over 16 games in all competitions this season. Porteous probably the victim tomorrow.
So many controversial decisions even with VAR.
How is that not a penalty tonight for St Mirren - absolutely stonewall and the Hearts player knows it.
All you ask for is consistency and fairness but it’s making the game and refs look so amateur.
I’m also still bitter about the Ibrox pen we didn’t get plus the Aberdeen pen which was a dive.
As with everything in life there is a simple answer…make the refs professional. In the scheme of money involved it’s tiny to have to 10-12 professional referees.
If they are garage every week they get sacked.
Would def improve things
Baccas was booked for this horrendous challenge

It`s probably coming near to a time where we might need to consider making an alteration to the rules within Scottish Football to simply do away with penalty kicks altogether.
We have got to a situation now where too many of our referees simply cannot be trusted to make impartial decisions.
It would be far from ideal, but the damage being inflicted on the game by corrupt officials might be eased a bit by taking penalties out the equation.
It was a stonewall penalty and most neutral or fair minded people would say it was too . As fans we deserve consistency and fairness though this isn't happening , in fact most decision are mind boggling which are making the refs look like amateurs , the whole thing stinks of corruption as well imo !
VAR in Scotland is giving the already corrupt refs just another way to keep the corruption going. For those who say the ball was going out anyway so no penalty. What do you think the decision would have been if that was any other defender, from any other team, playing the hun. Penalty all day long. VAR should be the best tool professional football has ever had, helping to stamp out cheating and correcting errors. But no, I'm afraid with our Scottish operators that will never be the case.
Yeah, in all seriousness the fact that won’t be mentioned yet Porteous is hounded every week isn’t right and I can’t believe they are allowed to get away with it to be honest. Extremely unprofessional and why I don’t listen or watch highlights anymore. Easy enough to find clips online nowadays with no commentary.
