I know that this goalie debate has probably gone on long enough, but I have to say I am amazed at the support Maka gets on this board. He is undoubtedly a very nice big fella, but as a goalkeeper he is one of the worst I`ve seen in 50 years supporting Hibs. Stack has only just arrived at the club so should be given time before all these conclusions are made about him. I have a strong feeling that if Stack had performed how Maka has performed for these last couple of years there would be nowhere near the level of support for him that Maka is getting now.
Stack for me over Makalamby every single day off the week.
Maka 138
Stacks 108
Oh.... how the tables have suddenly turned after one performance. :cool2:
Not one performance - Stack has now played in five games so people are now getting nearer to be able to assess him properly on what they see in match time rather than on the Youtube "hard man" clips and opinions based on that from other on here! :agree:
If the guy was as good as some claim (not me as I'm still very uncovinced by him) then he would get more support in the poll as he played more games whereas the opposite seems to be happening!
:dunno: :hmmm:
A ridiculous poll - as has been mentioned previously.
Stack needs far more games under his belt before he can be fairly judged.
Come back 6 months down the line please.
FourFourTwo's pre-season club-by-club guide asked the Plymouth contributor which player they'd most like to get rid of.
His answer? Graham Stack. No elaboration required.
That's all it said I'm afraid.
Maybe I can't see past Maka (who I believe is a good prospect), but to me Stack looks a liability. His moment of madness the other night when he came charging out was ridiculous.
People should remember that until the Lee Miller howler (which actually came during a decent performance in which he made an excellent penalty save), Maka was a pillar of strength in the final games against Hearts and the Old Firm.
Maka for me. Neither fill me with confidence though.
Maka it is then?
at the end of the day Yogi has to decide who's going to be in goals and although my choice is Maka out of the two I'm still not hoping that Stack makes the mistakes that will end up with him being dropped.
Stack has had the last five games and to me has done nothing to show that he is a better option than Maka, he's been luckier than Maka in that the mistakes he has made have not resulted in goals conceded but that is all.
