Spartans would have been good. But tbf we were unlucky to lose to Celtic in the league.

Apologetic performance at best. Just like the men, there is no belief and far too much respect was shown to a Celtic side that were nothing special.
Another timid and naive 90 minutes following on from last weeks dismal performance against Glasgow City.
3 Glasgow clubs seem tio tuck them away these days

Edinburgh derby tomorrow at Ainslie Park vs Spartans. 4.10pm ko.
Great for those like myself, who don't get out to Livi for the games!
Tickets can be bought on the gate, and possibly the fanbase app.
Give it a bump for those at a loose end later ⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️
And on Alba from 4pm.
after a poor result last time out on league business at Aberdeen they could do with 3 points today, although two games in hand over both Aberdeen and Spartans they are only four points ahead of Aberdeen and six ahead of Spartans in the best of the rest outside of Glasgow league
that should have been a hibs penalty, the lassie stretched her arm out towards the ball, referee possibly unsighted
1-0 spartans 40 mins
two footed tackle by a spartans player= Yellow card
it's only fair we have clown referees in the womens game as well
it's maybe best we stop bringing this up to the SFA whoever
2-0 spartans 63 minutes, another bad result if it stays that way
Spartans player finally gets a Red card, not the one that really should have been a red earlier

Disappointing weekend to be a Hibs fan - Friday evening the u18s lost, yesterday was dire and now even the women's team played poorly.
Agree the referee was unsighted, but surely the linesman had a good view of the penalty claim?
The lassie that scored both goals should’ve been sent off - if not for a straight red, for 2 yellows. Goalie got away with the one she threw in - I don’t think that was a foul.
Trinidadian international full back Liana Hinds has signed a pre-contract.
Came through the US college system and played in Sweden and Iceland. So could be promising.

Nice double today over Motherwell.
Derby at the weekend. Would have been good if they played it at ER again
Nothing on the official site but Hibs Women have tweeted that the Partick game next Wednesday will be at Easter Road.

Rachael Boyle doing a pundit job, but not in Gaelic.
3 - 0 to the good girls , Game over I'd say

It's not a contest it's a massacre!
Hibs looking good. Nice move and great finish for our 2nd goal. Hope they don't ease up. Still 4-0.
4-1 , disappointing to lose a goal :flag:

Good performance today from Hibs.
Next Saturday's game at Celtic is live on Alba, so that's my Hibs fix sorted with the men's team having a week off.
Felt really weird watching Hibs in yellow and blue. Both teams did well supporting the Ukrainian cause and I suspect we would sell a few of these kits if they put them up as a special sale item

A 1-0 win against Patrick Thistle last night.
Well beaten today. Need to be smarter against the top teams.
We are up against it now the gruesome twosome have decided the league is mature enough to allow them to make something out of it. It's a travesty that that pair ("never half of something",of course) jointly come in and surf on top of 20 years of work by the pioneering clubs and, really, just snuff it out.
Yeah, you've got it spot on. The resources those two clubs have is much greater than the rest of the clubs put together.
Just as with their male equivalents they have an unfair advantage over the other clubs. The women's game is going to go the same way as the men's - totally dominated (and ruined) by the Glasgow duopoly.
Chris Roberts ex Hibs Ladies manager, now interim manager at Everton and Clair Elmslie ex Hibs ladies just scored a Boylesque type goal for Everton. Live on Sky, 0-1 after 25 minutes.

Perhaps I'm an optimist but, with some investment, the foundation, infrastructure, fan interest (it seems like we have more interest generally than most other clubs, up there with GCFC) is there to make Hibs a success again.
We have some really good players and it's making sure we retain a good squad and can add to it. The Old Firm have good squads but I don't think they are light years away, I think it's down to a few individuals.
Not sure how true it is but I heard a story about Lizzie Arnott saying if it wasn't for the FT offer from Rangers then she would have been open to a Hibs move
The Old Firm can afford to spend £1m per season on their women's teams if they want and it wouldn't affect their men's teams which would still have similar budgets that are massively in excess of everyone else. If we spent a tenth of that, there would be an outcry from the less enlightened elements in our support that the money should have been spent on the men's team.
I'd be very surprised if we ever again sign someone who scores five goals in a cup final.
Yes, but Glasgow City are still up there and also don't have the resources that the Old Firm do.
I wouldn't consider myself an authority by any means, and I may well be wrong, but I would be surprised if the Old Firm were currently spending that, or were prepared to at the moment.
I agree some would bump their gums about the men not getting the money instead, but it's Ron's money and you and I understand it's not diverting anything from the men's team, so let them moan all they want.
todays results..
Glasgow City 6 Hamilton 0
Aberdeen 1 Spartans 1....good result for Hibs
Motherwell 3 Partick thistle 3
Rangers 6 Hearts 0
They claimed they were putting 100k a year into the womens team in the last few years. Basically thats the rental for Oriam pitches, and some minor staff costs. They are also about to release a huge amount of kids in the next few weeks, despite there being months to go in the season.
Aye the investment angle again, where is this coming from? The womens team still get one man and his dog along watching, unless the game is at Easter Road and free to get in.
The womens game needs to grow at its own pace, without affecting the mens game.
I think i have been here before.
Which it wouldn't do, as I said on a previous post. Nothing is getting taken away from the men's team. You have nothing to fear. If Ron, or someone else, wants to also invest in the women's team, that isn't taking from the men.
And yes, you have been here several times, we all know you have no interest in the women's team.
Barcelona women beat Real Madrid women 5-2(agg 8-3) tonight in front of 91,553
quite astonishing
I don't sit in on the development meetings for the club so I'm not privy to their funding opportunities.
But it's not outside the realms of possibility that people will want to invest, as it's a fast growing sport in this country, I wouldn't be surprised if our owner doesn't decide to put some of his money their way at some point.
The difference between the elite keepers such as Ellie Roebuck at Man City and the decent keepers is stark in the woman's game. Maybe still more so than the mens game. Although as we're well aware there are some absolute wage thieves in goal in the mens game...
However the general standard is becoming very technical. It's slower than the mens game but there's some excellent games.
I watch man utd women regularly and genuinely enjoy it. I watch it for the fact I enjoy it and I don't compare it to the mens game. I judge it for what it is.

Saw bits of both games last night some really good football and goals but yes some questionable goalkeeping in both games Bayern goalie got lobbed with a cross she should have done better with. Very watchable matches with great atmospheres in both games.
Has there never been a 5-2 or 8-3 aggregate score in mens football?
Having said that I do wonder if they’d be better playing in slightly smaller goals - women in general are smaller than men so making them play in full size “mens” goals makes it a lot harder for the women.
The 92k attendance proves that if you build the product and market it well the people will come. Unfortunately the product in Scotland still isn’t great but that can only improve if there is some investment. That won’t come from Scottish parent teams. The fans won’t allow it. The clubs that have invested have provided a tiny percentage of their full year budget, and only Rangers are paying wages better than you’d get in KFC. So the womens game needs to work harder on getting someone to bankroll the development of the game. Oh and there is no need to make the goals smaller. At least it makes the chances of 0-0 remote.
The SWPL was a bit of shambles. One man and a dog trying to run it.... the youth part of it is even worse. Hopefully the sharing of resources will help the senior game but the talk of a larger top league is worrying. You dont increase the quality of the product by putting in more teams that arent good enough for that level. Talk of making it a 12 /14 team league would be a disaster. The football in the 2nd div is truly awful stuff and if more of them come up we will see even more double figure score lines.
They need to bring back Colt (u21) teams into the 2nd Div. That way the best players continue to get coached by the best staff, and arent just pushed into lower league teams for game time. The NPL leagues at youth level are a disaster. Again far too many teams, and not enough players to fill them so you end up with none of the teams being top class.
In many ways its similar to the Mens game. Far too many football teams. So everything becomes too diluted.
Getting closer to Top3. Getting external sponsorship to allow them to sign better players. Building the academy to have more success at youth stages. CEO said they would be coming under the main part of the club next year i think. Be interesting to see what that means.
Do you think being a threat to the top 3 can be a realistic ambition, if the other stuff is done?
Building a reputation as the place which has the best young players, so a good stepping stone to a bigger stage (like Abi Harrison for example), which can make Hibs competitive against teams spending on more established names.
And, in terms of numbers through the gate, I realise this depends on where they will be playing (I think Meadowbank would the smart option), what's realistic in your opinion? Is aiming for 1000 per home game realistic?
I think Hibs may be the main contender to be the best supported women's team in the country, interest is increasing and those that have dipped their toe in the water seem to have enjoyed it. It seems we have a leg up on other teams in this sense.
Wolfsburg v Arsenal @ 5:45pm 1-1 from the first leg, they're playing this one at the 30k Volkswagen stadium instead of the womens normal ground, becoming more common for womens sides playing at the mens stadiums nowadays
big task for the Arsenal side which includes ex-Hibs and Scotland international Kim Little
winner takes on Barcelona in the SF
I was at the first leg (which was at the Emirates rather than in Boreham Wood where Arsenal usually play). Wolfsburg seemed happy to let Arsenal have the ball and were pretty adept on the counterattack. Arsenal had a lot of possession but didn't create much – Wolfsburg were mostly comfortable and unlucky not to be ahead going into the second leg.
