Another wife pet peeve... her perception of what defines a "white" for a white washing. We're going on holiday in a few days so we are washing stuff in preparation of packing. "I'm about to wash the whites I'm wanting to take away with me, do you want to have a look through and add any whites you are wanting to take" she asked.
So I picked out the stuff I'm taking and said "I'll just put it on, where's your pile?". "Oh on the bed".... "Erm... that pile of whites, pinks and reds all mixed together?"
[Gives me a dirty look as if to say 'what's wrong with that]. "Yep, and I've got a pile of other stuff for the white wash next to the washing machine".
When I got to the washing machine, the stuff was all greys and dark greens. Fair enough light grey stuff, I'd put in a white wash but I draw the line at red, pinks and dark greens. One of the grey things was near enough black. Suffice to say, I did a separate wash for my stuff.
