All Blacks have stepped it up a gear in the 2nd half, 33-13 FT.
decent win for Scotland woman in their opening WXV2 game FT Italy 0 Scotland 21, harder games to play but they really need to do a lot of work on their own line-outs
presently Bulls 22 Edinburgh 13
FT 22-16 Edinburgh really should have got more out of that
14-0 South Africa, a few yellow cards coming Argentina's way soon.
27-7 ht
Glasgow have decided to move their home leg of the 1872 Cup to Hampden in December.
Safe to say it's an away trip I won't be making...
Great win for Glasgow tonight against a pretty horrible looking Cardiff side - errors everywhere.
bit of a hammering for Edinburgh today Lions 55 Edinburgh 21, leaves Edinburgh three defeats out of three
in the women's WXV 2 it finished Japan 13 Scotland 19
There was a magnificent attendance of 80,468 to watch last night's fixture between Leinster and Munster - that's a record for the URC.
Edinburgh will win this but my goodness the lineouts have been so poor. then a poor lineout by Cardiff right at the end let Edinburgh in for the bonus try
FT 27-8
Glasgow beaten at Sharks in the afternoon 28-24
even worse today that scoreline flattered Edinburgh, Ospreys 22 Edinburgh 13 that 2nd half was played almost entirely in the Edinburgh Half, Ross Thomson's kicking is very poor, following on from last week.
good win for Glasgow though Stormers 17 Glasgow 28
international Japan 19 New Zealand 64
Townsend is quite right too, IMO. Gray done with Scotland most likely (certainly as long as Gregor is head coach).
Mosese has been great for Edinburgh (one of a few shining lights) but I don't see him getting much opportunity during these tests (lots of competition at that space).
still 22-17 England after 75 mins then try all-blacks with a brilliant try and even better conversion from out at the touchline 24-22 all-blacks
then all-blacks do what they've done most of this game, give away a senseless penalty on 77 mins, hits the post bounces out to an all-black who then incredibly knocks it on in front of the posts
ford drop goal attempt 30 seconds in the Red...it's wide
FT England 22 New Zealand 24
i fancy Ireland to beat New Zealand next week
Jeeeeesus - we've got the same stadium announcer at Murrayfield as last season.
😱
i know i've mentioned it before, butttt
THAT screeching woman ffs retire her
awk away yi go TMO fgs man
he was never EVER getting a tackle in
he will be desperately looking for something wrong with this try :)
Great finish for the try.
And another, Darcy Graham.
Fiji got a second yellow card.
that was a strange one :greengrin
if only England didn't blow my double, huddies
i took scotland at -20
maybe should have tried for -30
Another try! Huw Jones. Fiji have been terrible.
game on
had to happen with giving away just too many penalties
now we're getting a taste of what we will face next sunday
How about a score update ?
quite unfair Fiji are getting to play with 15
at last more points :)
34-17 con to come
36-17
nice rugby in the lead up to that try
41-17 con to come
43-17
the half century 50-17 Hasting passing like a fijian star :)
biggest ever win for Scotland v Fiji
57-17 nice conversion
arggghh a foot in touch denies us another
Final score:- Scotland 57, Fiji 17.
A really entertaining game, it will give Toonie food for thought with his team selection for next week.
It starts by removing Ali Price from 9...he's just a bit sluggish and nowhere near dynamic enough at 9. And his box-kicks are often poor.
Tom Jordon looked excellent today when he came on. Hastings ran the show at 10, and I thought Sione had a great outing for his first as captain.
But take a bow, the Prince of Hawick. Oustanding performance from Darcy. Unstoppable combination of pace and power when he plays like that.
Aussies look to win it with a converted try on 75 mins to lead 35-30 but then concede a converted try so England lead 37-35
oh boy Aussie try on 83 mins :greengrin converted FT 42-37 Aussies
Italy v Argentina next
i'm hoping we don't get hammered tomorrow
Italy 18 Argentina 50
expect much the same scoreline in the upcoming France v Japan
FT France 52 Japan 12
wow FT Wales 19 Fiji 24
Wales equal their worst run ever with a tenth straight defeat
ah well, we done well to hold SA for nearly a full 4 mins
Yellow card for Cummings. Crap call imo. I disagree it was a Croc roll and it certainly wasn't Cummings.
Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
Cummings card upgraded
can bring someone else on after 20 mins
well
that was a very costly error by ben white costing us 7 points, Try & Con SA 9-19
they've been told, USE IT
great try scotland, well done ben white :) converted 16-19
incredible, converted and now called off, away do one TMO :(
9-19
HT
I thought once the conversion had been taken you couldn’t go back and review?
Ref is at it is he not. Very harsh red card imo. Also the white call in front of the posts. Bizarre a try can be given then kick taken then tmo gets involved.
here we go with the bomb squad subs
idiotic penalty to give away scotland
we're getting hammered in the scrums
some lovely rugby
SA yellow card
15-19
Scotland have been sensational butchered a few opportunities tho
What knock on again right in front of posts
we deserved more from this but those silly mistakes near the try line
that's twice jones has tossed a poor pass to VDM
fgs jamie ritchie that is so bloody stupid
and that's cost us
we certainly didn't deserve that big a gap
Referee and TMO poor for me, usually in favour of SA.
Croc roll was a joke, and th knock on for Scotland’s try was not only dubious, but went back through a number of phases of play (almost like they were looking for something!), and the tmo intervention came after the conversion kick had taken place
Sadly, they changed the rules to allow them to go back through the phases and it was undoubtedly a missed knock-on from Jones in the build-up to the try. It sucked, but it was the correct call. That being said, I don't feel the red card was a red card offence (it wasn't a 'croc roll'), and I think the bogus 'knock-on' later on when we had possession near our own goal line that lead to them getting a scrum, penalty and resultant points that made the game safe was visible either.
The better team won IMO, but we definitely got reffed differently to them...
after last weekends games, won't include Ireland winning last night

12-0 Scotland, game has started like a 7s match.
33-7 ht
59-21 ft
England v SA is a good game. 15-19 after 26 mins.
The commentators in the England v South Africa game are doing my head in. It's non stop drivel, just concentrate on the actual game for a change.
🤬
France have the edge here 27-23 against the All Blacks. 15 mins left
:sauzee:
5 mins remaining and i thought it was the wrong decision by Scott Barrett to go for the 3 points and then hoping they got more ball and another penalty that would win it
i was right, shoulda went for that lineout Scotty
i see Lomu: the lost tapes is on again now, watched it last week he had quite a tough upbringing
well worth the watch if anyone hasn't saw it, still so sad a great career cut short early then of course passing away
The anthems and Haka in Paris last night are amongst the most impressive ive ever seen. The in stadium production, lighting, and respect all added up to a true spectacle.
The state of Wales in the first 20 minutes of this game, 0-19 Australia
Those "pitch ads" are doing my head in.
FT Italy 20 Georgia 17
Georgia were 17-6 ahead at HT but just totally ran out of steam in the 2nd half, even though just eleven points in it it's the first time the Italians have came from behind by that margin to win a game
The Autumn series has been great so far.
👌
Wales 13 Australia 26
Aussie earlier yellow upgraded to Red
another try for the fourteen 13 - 33
13-33, TMO checking that looks forward
13-33
no try
13-38, i don't understand the aussie not taking it under the sticks, wasn't anyone within 30 yards of him
but anyway, much harder con but good kick 13-40
20-40
20-47 tis a hammering
Final score:- Wales 20, Australia 52.
Sad news for Welsh rugby, their players looked absolutely knackered in the last quarter.
eleven straight defeats, worst ever
but i'm pleased for Warren :greengrin
for approx two years i've desperately wanted Australia at Murrayfield but they've came on a bit in the last several months :(
last night France 37 Argentina 23
FT Ireland 52 Fiji 17
FT Wales 12 South Africa 45, 12th straight defeat for the Welsh, first calendar year without a win since 1937
Scotland fav’s today? Thought the betting would be the other way around?
great try Bayliss 22-6
followed 2 mins later by a superb try by russell
27-6 only downside has been his terrible kicks at goal today, two cons and a penalty missed
Harry Potter scores a try for the Aussies :( 27-13
FT good win, i'm greedy and thought that really should have been a bigger gap
nine wins in 2024 a new record for us
Very good win for Scotland. Still grinds my gears though the amount of lost line outs. There were a couple of shockers when on the Aussie line. been happening since the days of Ross Ford
Townsend ne'er sayers are very quiet.
Decent performance from Australia going down narrowly to Ireland, puts Scotland's performance last week into a decent perspective.
Edinburgh tried their damndest to throw that away tonight - so close to surrendering a seemingly unassailable lead!
Some really great tries and 88 points - an entertaining evening at The Hive!
Big day of Rugby at Murrayfield, The Hive and the back pitches tomorrow as all teh Schools Finals are played. A nice wee earner in the past for my photography business but I enjoy the day regardless. Just a pity that all the fee paying schools tend to get the big stage but it really is a brilliantly put together event. Hopefully, a good few of those playing tomorrow end up back on teh big pitch in a few years time.
Glasgow Warriors looking very good in the first half v Sale. They do play some exhilarating rugby
33-12 for the Warriors at half time - what an outstanding half of rugby ! 3 tries for George Horne and he was also sent to the naughty step for 10mins after being yellow carded!
The wind has obviously been a factor so it ain't all over yet.
38-19 final score. Impressive performance from the Warriors and no bonus point for Sale. Onwards to Toulon next week which will be a cracker.
van der Merwe signs new contract keeping him at Edinburgh until after the 2027 World Cup
i know a lot of sportsmen come out with the "my wife likes it here" but i think that's genuinely played a part in his decision to stay, he probably could have had a better salary with one of the French sides i guess.
he does have some quiet games but i think that's more down to not seeing much of the ball tbf
tough one for Edinburgh tomorrow night v Bayonne, they're sitting 5th in the French Top 14 league, lose that and they'll be cast adrift at the bottom of the group, i felt they didn't make the best of the chances they had at Gloucester last week.
Glasgow a Toughie in Toulon on Sunday
Edinburgh doing very well, can't watch it as it's on that premier player thingy :( presently 36-12
45-12
52-12
FT that's a great result
Glasgow so unlucky in France Toulon 30 Glasgow 29, but at least they take home two points, Try & Losing Bonus
looks a very decent attendance at Hampden today
can't see Edinburgh winning
28 mins played Glasgow 21 Edinburgh 0
2nd time Edinburgh down to 14
HT 21-0
27,500 at Hampden today. Good crowd but in a stadium the size of Hampden the atmosphere is not great.
A gusty wind seems to be causing problems for both sides but at the moment the Warriors are well on top.
21-0 at half time.
