Doidge will be on the bench and we will play 4-5-1. Rangers will be sharper with Europa league games. As you say a real test for us.

Really don't think tomorrow matters as much as some are pretending. Mowbray got walloped there early in his first season, finished 3rd. Collins played them off the park and won 1-0, finished 6th. Our home form against everyone and away form Vs bottom six are main things. Draws away against top 6 are great results. Wins are incredible but not expected at all.
Results away at Ibrox have never determined the quality of a Hibs team because if Rangers play their best we lose 99/100.
Always support the team and. Never give a player a hard time during the game if he is trying his best. But does not stop you have concerns. My main one is a lack of goals from upfront. Why I raised the need for another striker. If we were still in for McNulty after signing Doidge then we cant be done in that department . Here is hoping.
Big ”old” Daz [who had been recently on a free] also had a header at the PBS that was quite important in getting us through 🙂. In general I think we shouldn’t be signing stop gap players like our neighbours and I think giving a 4 yr deal on a big wage to a guy in his 30s like Naismith is a very dangerous [and desperate] strategy to pursue.
Tomorrow is just another game, but it’s a big test. I don’t think anyone’s really saying it’s the be all and end all, just that it’s a big game for us.
Call em optimistic, but I always hope for victory against all teams, particularly outside the old firm. As is often said, it’s the hope that kills you. I suppose our record at Ibrox over the past four seasons inspires a bit of confidence.
Problem is the likes of your negativity transfers itself on to the ground. It’s the same on all the Fb pages, moan moan moan. A couple of misplaced passes and you can feel the unrest in the ground. It’s a minority but you sure are loud about your feelings.
I personally think it’s the Scottish Cup win that has given our support a strange sense of entitlement. That and some people are just not going to take to Hecky for some reason. Can’t wait for him and his signings to fail.
As for your constant slaggings of Doidge, he may or may not turn out to be a good signing. At least get behind him and give him a chance ffs.
I prefer PH to Lennon. But we are clearly constrained by our budget. I will support all the players on the park but let's face the facts about Doidge - both his record at tier 3 in England and what we have seen so far in friendlies, Betfred and SPL. As I said I hope he succeeds but given what I have said it seems unlikely. We have been outspent by Aberdeen and Hearts which it is likely we finish behind them. Only hope is Levein and the miss management at Hearts. I have only criticised players on field once and that was during the Butcher relegation run when some players were clearly not trying. A reaction to Malpas and Butcher's bully boy tactics.
Henrik Larrson horrific first match in SPL. Ffs how can anyone know for sure if any players will work. I'm not saying any are good or bad as 1 SPL match is not enough not even close to it.
If we have good or ***** players I think it's only fair to let the prove this one way or another.
****ty Keith Wright took until his 3rd SPL game for first league goal what a disaster he was. Let's be realistic on giving people a decent chance to pass or fail.
You have to bare in mind for that Doidge was playing for Bolton in the Championship. A complete basket case of a club for the last cpl of seasons. (You will bring up Vela I’m sure, but he was there for a long time).
From what I have seen of him so far he gets into good positions and is good at linking up as per his assist last week. Should have scored yes, but I remember Agathe missing a similar chance at Tynecastle on his debut. Certainly not going to write him off this early.
To be fair to the omnipresent poster, people on here are lapping it up. Starve the response and surely they will get bored. It’s interesting to see how people repeatedly take the bait, despite the response, the predictabilty of it’s monotony. I guess that’s the kind of forum we must enjoy, otherwise why bother?
