This is the bit I'm not sure about with VAR. The referee missed the handball in realtime, the game continues and then he gets word in his earpiece 30 seconds later. Goes and reviews it at the side and awards the penalty.
I think VAR should be used where the referee is unsure, not when he misses something. Had he seen what he thought was handball but wasn't sure then I think he should be able to get confirmation, a bit like rugby.
At school I was the last boy to be picked, and ended up in goal. 5-a-side at Leith Community centre I saved every penalty I faced :greengrinQuote:
