Are there regularly 15'000 or more folk at the cinema? Nonsensical comparison 😂

Why do some folk get so bent out of shape about what people do with their own time? It honestly baffles me.
Do you get a bonus points for being the last one to leave the stadium? Often the case with the East stand steps and being near the back. Or does it have to be the last one to leave hospitality ?!!
Got a good view of all the seagulls today walking down the east steps.
In all seriousness I think the large home crowd turned up and supported the team well which is the main thing.
I always start to leave in the last minute of injury time. Just at the tunnel before the FT whistle goes.
I would rather get home 20 minutes later and applaud my team off the park but each to their own.
We need a proper uber fan thread, tbh.
I almost always stay to the end but I think it's easy to underestimate how much time leaving even 2 or 3 minutes early can save. I left a game on 87 minutes last season as I had another commitment at night. 3 minutes early and I was home 25 minutes earlier than I usually am and that's staying in Edinburgh. For people travelling further that all adds up.
No one really knows what other people's situations are outside of football. Getting out the East has been a total nightmare the few times I have sat in there so if people want to go a couple of minutes early then it's really none of my business.
[QUOTE=Nakedmanoncrack;7936396]Only gripe on a fine day - 17 games unbeaten, 4-0 win, the players deserve better than a half empty stadium for the last 5 mins. East stand in particular emptying our long before the end, each to their own, but baffling how so many can have something so important to get to on a Sunday afternoon that it's worth missing the opportunity to bask in the finest run any of us have ever seen.[/QUOTE
Not looking for arguement I left at 90 mins. I usually go down east stand at 85 to find a empty seat lower down but fantastically today thats not an option. I sit second back row it takes 20-25 mins to get out of you stay which means other delays. Its relevant time is short I agree clap team off but what that costs your day depends where u sit
I’m not in favour of early departure but having moved seats from the west to the east this season, what people in the west - and other stands/ don’t realise is how ball achingly slow it is to get out of the stand after the final whistle.
That’s the main reason for early departures. It can’t be that good from a safety point of view either. The East was built on the cheap- the club should really look to invest in some improvements at some point.
I think I’d happily take an extra 20/30 minutes getting home to applaud a Hibs team that has achieved something for the first time in nearly 80 years.
I usually always wait to the very end but regretted it in the East recently as I’ve been getting over a broken leg
Going down those stairs using a crutch was a nightmare and I should have left early
I have no issues with people leaving a wee bit earlier in the East as I used to sit in row z and it takes an eternity to get down the stairs as everyone in the rows below is allowed to filter out first, but now that I sit in the row behind the exit doors on the end seat it's a nightmare to see the South side of the pitch because some of the folk that leave early decide to hang around at the bottom of the stairs creating a bottle-neck meaning theres people standing next to my seat on the stairs blocking the view. If people want to leave early then leave, the stewards should do more to make sure they dont hang about, they can always go into the concourse and see the end of the game on the tv's
I sit at the end of a row in the East and can generally see **** all of one half of the pitch from 87 minutes on due to the number of folk on the stairs. So it's annoying to me from that point of view (or lack of).
But each to their own - that's what we say isn't it?
My tuppence worth, I regularly leave the ground a couple of mins before the end to beat the crowds, get transport or hit the pub, but equalling a long standing record deserves a round of applause at the end, no way would I have left early had I been there. Team deserve it, especially when you think from where we have came from this season.
Absolutely hilarious that this has become a gripe worthy of discussion. Shows how good things are on the pitch.
And the separate thread moaning that there are some spare seats dotted about the stadium where we have four stands open 😂😂
A sign of good times. And also that even when things are going well, some will find anything to complain about :greengrin
1) ... empty seats at a home stand sellout: You don't see this so much at the biggest clubs because week on week they can run a ticket exchange. At ER unless it's a derby we don't do this, so seats belonging to ST holders who can't make it, EG because they are away on holiday or have to work, tend to remain unused ..... it's nae big deal and fair play to them for buying a ST when they know they won't make all the games.
2) ,,, Folk leaving early: Personally don't really get it ( and yes I've had a ST in the back rows of the east, more than once and I have a 40 mile drive to get home ) I can't believe about 3000 folk simply had to be out of the east before full time to catch a bus or to beat the traffic on Sunday .... or at the previous home game where only about 3000 out of 5000 or more in the east were still around to see Kieron Bowie's penalty, never mind clap the team off.
All that being said ... it's nice this is all we have to moan about :greengrin
