Nearly 11 hours on court for his first two matches is unbelievable.
When men's Grand Slam tennis is played like that there's no other sport like it in my opinion, it's my favourite sport to watch when you get a match like that.

Murray's next match will be a 3rd round contest v Spaniard Roberto Bautista-Agut who actually came through a five-setter of his own earlier today v Brandon Holt.
It's 3-3 in the head to head between them although Bautista-Agut has won the last 3 meetings, including their only other meeting at the Australian Open in 2019 when Murray gave his now famous post-match press conference which everyone assumed was him saying his goodbyes.
Believe it or not that match also went to five sets.

Hopefully you’re right but I can’t see it. He’s basically just done the toughest nightshift possible before playing an opponent strongly fancied to beat him 2 days later. I think an anti climax is likely, but hopefully Murray can get the first set and we’ll see what happens.Quote:

I’ve loved some great 5 setters over the years, but playing for almost 6 hours until 4am in a two week tournament seems, dare I say it, a bit silly and unnecessary?
