Pringles are crisps
Jaffa Cakes are biscuits
Uber’s and Beep Beeps etc, the “PHC’s” are taxis
People can try to claim different but they are what they are

Great football chat on this thread. I take it the main board is for any subject matter now? Or should this be in the holy ground?
Capital Cars - All the Sevens - Beep Beep all the same with the common denominator being a Stephen Rose. All info is readily available to the public.
What’s the info? That he (in saying that I’m not even sure if it’s the same guy or not) sold copied PS2 games in 2003? cause that’s about the only thing of note coming up if I search for him other than the fact he spent a lot of money on a private plate.
Crime of the century.
Edit: it would appear based on his age that it’s not the same guy anyway. What’s Stephen Rose done?
So the driver goes say 2 miles, then realises the road is closed and readjust to ho another way, in the mean time your charged more because Uber charges on distance covered. Meanwhile a cabbie knows what's open and what's closed and goes the correct way from get go.
In the laundry business.
Well, in spite of all the talk about drivers wages and the fact I'd never heard of Beep Beep before, thanks to this thread I've downloaded the app.
If it gets me from A to B cheaper than a standard cab then I'll give them a try.
Sponsorship works!
Yeah, but we both know that cabbies don’t always know what’s opened and what’s closed, don’t we? Which is fine by the way, it’s impossible to know it all. The cabbies are nearly flawless while Uber drivers are hopeless argument doesn’t really stand up to scrutiny. We’ve all seen black cabs do ridiculous things on the roads aswell and the only folk that ever seem to put that argument forward are taxi drivers. Are you a taxi driver by any chance?
Yes I am and proud of it, 30 years now and never once have I driven up Forest Rd the wrong way, turned right from Lothian Rd onto the west approach on the wrong side onto oncoming traffic. Nor have I went onto the bypass on the wrong slip road into oncoming traffic and had to reverse back up the slip road. But on you go if you meant to save that couple of quid.
I now see why Blackpoolhibs has a go at you all the time, once you get something in your teeth you go on and on until you think you're right.
Mon the Hibs
I do not see why a cabbie would no more on whats open or closed than an uber driver if both in same city and driving about all day. I understand a cabbie is totally free to pick a route and if I am right Uber tells the driver the route? If the latter is right and say Uber driver knows a road is closed but app telling them ok are they able to decide to go different route?
[QUOTE=easty;5924801]You’re over complicating it, the same way someone would say a beep beep isn’t a taxi.
It’s a biscuit.

Thread moved, very little in the way of football chat.
Not even a "Hecky out". :greengrin
