Conference Centre isn't a cheap booking. Why aren't they using the bigliest, most bigley impressive facilities at the most bigliest tin stand in Scottish football for their "awards"?

Bottlers sacked the guy before their awards to take the heat of themselves at the awards then refused to discuss it, it's the hearts way.

Elvis throwing his name into the hat for the job
I’d love him to get it as he’d be absolute disaster
If they go for one of those, or McInnes or Robinson then they're essentially admitting the analytics is p*sh. I'll enjoy listening to McKinlay's verbal gymnastics trying to explain it. It will be the same with the fans when you say "I see you've ditched the analytics". Should be a laugh.
Have said all along that analytics is all well and good but when you've got clueless fuds like they have making the decisions, the analytics makes next to no difference. They'll do the same as last time and manipulate the critieria to get the output they want then gaslight the fans to say he scored very highly.
Just watched the highlights from the Dundee game on Saturday. What a crowd. Those thousands on the waiting list still locked out I see.
I see Barry Anderson at the News has finally cottoned on to what’s been going on. He’ll be off Mrs. Budge’s Christmas Card list.
It can’t be a coincidence that there was not a queue of clubs lining up for a transfer frenzy to try and prise Shankland away from Hearts after such a great season in the summer there.
Why were clubs steering well clear? He comes across as a bit of a strange character, but must be more to it than that?
They are a classless, tinpot, shambles of a club
What they havent told the world, and given everything they do tell the world to make sure people know they are the biggliest team in the bottom six, is that Jamestown have added a special filter to their analytical software, nicknamed the "yamometer"
This is the primary filter on the data. Although it's top secret as to what the full filter includes, the primary layer is called "the funnel" and searches for specific profile elements, including:
Has owned or still owns a vehicle made by Rover or British Leyland
Said vehicle has maroon velour seat covers (extra points for unidentifiable stains on the seats)
Still lives with their mother (bonus points for living in the basement)
Is very close to at least one sibbling
Has spent at least 3 nights in the Gorgie Hilton
Looks like they need a good wash / beard trim / hair cut
Once offered to paint some steps at Tynecastle for free
Is delusional
Has a Russian hat in their wardrobe
Has never paid for a poppy
So you can see exactly why Captain Caveman with Ian Black as assistant is very likely.
I read one quote from a fan stated "Has Shankland's goals over the last few season been hiding just how bad we are, even though we came 3rd twice?" I'd say Shankland's goals and Gordon's saves have masked how poor Hearts were in recent seasons, despite their 3rd, 4th, 3rd placings. When I watch them, I generally feel I'm watching a relatively poor side. They might score some good goals, but I never think that they are a good side outplaying the opposition.
Am I being harsh in my assessment.
Interesting reading through the comments here where most are advocating a return to the traditional Hearts way of industrial, suffocating attritional football.

I think what Sked has described there is very similar to what we’ve turned into this season. Quality delivery into the box, physicality throughout the team, one or two in midfield that can play in amongst the battle. Dundee United are kind of similar I think. It’s a formula that works in this league.
Don't think you are. Last season their cracks were papered over by Hibs & Aberdeen being a shambles and several games where they were outplayed but Shankland came up with the goods due to the form he was in. He even admitted himself he overperformed in terms of expected goals. Now he's off the boil and Hibs/Aberdeen have got their s*it together it's shown them up for the overrated team they are.
Very risky time for them to sack another manager. Potential Butcher like situation if the new person doesn’t hit the ground running.
Spoke to a Yam ST holder today who said Critchley walked which might explain the 4 games to go thing
Felt he was thrown under the bus arrived when they were bottom of the league had Europe to contend with had someone else’s players to sort into a workable formation key players out injured and sold from under him without a by your leave a club captain and best player who disnae want to be there said Shankland was at the POTY being a knob refusing to engage or talk with supporters
They don’t know where their next win is coming from ?
A happy camp
Wasn’t really listening tbh can’t stand Hearts only passing only on what I was told but Boyce Sibbick Boateng Cochrane Rowles Oyegoke Tagawa and Oda
Got tbh every time the ****bos come to ER I have to buy a programme to keep up to speed with their squad changes all the time but never fear their squad was better than ours this season :greengrin
They also ‘sold / let go Makenzie Kirk to St Johnstone who looks decent scored a few
Liked Sibbick made lots of mistakes
As I said no interested only passing on what I was told not dotting the t’s and crossing the i’s FFS!
Struggling to name any current Hearts players tbh only interested in Hibs
I looked at the players they have let go apart from that no interest
Boyce Boateng and Rowles ring a bell if that helps ?
:hnetinq:
As I said I wasn’t really interested or listening and wasn’t really expecting the third degree on what someone else has allegedly said
Will know better next time :greengrin
I suppose the real point is he wasn’t sacked he walked according to my contact
Believe that if you want ?
The third degree? Seriously? All I did was reply to say one of those players left earlier than you’d been told! I didn’t accuse you of anything, I then clarified explicitly that it wasn’t a dig at you, and still I’m being accused of putting people off posting and giving the third degree. Ffs
Mciness favourite with the bookies now even money must be something in it.
Would have to assume Mcinness being considered
What’s Beale up to - fits the profile surely…could the ly push the boat out and got for Gerrard? :)
Three different spellings of McInnes in a few posts is pretty impressive :greengrin.
It's all media talk at this stage, surely they are not stupid and arrogant to employ someone when there is danger they might not win their final games of this season and slip into a playoff. Hopefully to get relegated by John McGlynns Falkirk. Ohhh good would that be.
Opinions seem split on him , style of football mentioned a few times . A few bad results and this will be the stick they’ll use on him if he were to get the job …

I thought McInnes wouldn’t take a job where he wasn’t in charge of player recruitment?
It was mentioned a few times when we've been in the manager hunt.
When Hibs were allegedly sniffing he signed a new contract with Kilmarnock until 2027.
Would hertz pay 2 years compensation?
I think that rules him out - along with the other rumours that say he won't with an analytics system.
Yesterday's news. I'm going in here.
[QUOTE=K-Zazu;7948704]Mciness favourite with the bookies now even money must be something in it.[/QUOTEwasnt he favourite when we were looking for a new guy ?
If Hibs really wanted McInnes he'd have come to Hibs, if Hearts really want him he'll go to Hearts.
I've never bought into this 'he needs to be allowed complete control' thing that people talk about.
Maybe got his own data analysis?
Hunalytics. You put a wax disc on a revolving
plate on a gramophone, when it spews out assorted sectarian songs from a bygone age, if the player sings along or becomes a bit emotional sign him.
There's a hun fan version as well, paralytics.

I think Robinson is a possibility but Mcinnes I can’t see.

Liam Fox is obviously a deep philosophical thinker, “I've always been somebody that would rather live my life by things that I did than things that I didn't do," the 41-year-old, who was in charge for three games prior to Critchley's appointment in October, said.
:greengrin
It’s amazing how Stewart has changed his tune about Critchley ( 44:50 ) , lead to believe that McInnes was high up on the analytics data ( super computer 😂) the last time around …
