First two games are massive

We need to get to that last game against sevco so that it’s done and dusted and completly irrelevant, might be stating the obvious

But getting the job done and not getting beat at Aberdeen is a massive step to getting where we need to be.

stats are in our favour

last 10 seasons the team that was 3rd before split finshed 3rd or higher
19/20 was of course when the league stopped at 30 games due to covid

will add to that points difference between 3rd and 4th before split and final points usually stay around the same

Thats one of those ‘correlation not causation’ stats. Bit of a coincidence rather than anything else.

I still think United and Aberdeen will chuck a win in against rangers probably just depends who

Similarly I think we could go to st Mirren and pick up a huge win. I just really don’t want us to be going to the last game needing something. Not good for the heart.

As I said first two games massive.

Thats down to UEFA - it maintains a bit control / prestige for the national associations as the clubs run the top leagues these days

If St mirren have someting to play for by the time we meet them that means they have taken points of other teams which would be ideal.

St Mirren are the fly in everybody's ointment .... while they still have a mathematical chance of finishing 4th or 5th they will be well up for it and with everybody playing each other it's not impossible they could make a late run.

The fact is we have 5 cup finals coming up, with the possibility of a huge reward at the end of them .... but so do Aberdeen and Dundee United .... I can see this going down to the wire and I can only imagine what a final day against Sevco needing to win to make 3rd will be like .... have a feeling it could make the atmosphere against AEK Athens look like a group stage league cup tie :greengrin
