Jesus don't even remember posting last night!
Great crowd just under 5k, two good teams and a massive win to kick start the season right.
Bigger crowd than was Huddersfield v ST Helens.
Leeds are going to need another comeback tonight. 14-0 away to HKR after 30mins.
where the frik did Rhinos get that Olpherts from, what a dud
they really can turn in some absolutely comical performances 14-0 29 mins played
and again, take Olpherts off fgs man
aw man he's just knocked on again :faf:
Another woeful performance so far from the Rhinos
can't even do a scrum
training manual
1. find out rules of the game
27th Knock on
Austins short kicks have been laughable
Luke Hooley worst ever debut
Not watched tonight but it’s doing Leigh a huge favour that Leeds, Cas and Wakey are so bloody dreadful.
Heading to York tonight. Mon the cougars.
Loads of RL on tv this weekend.
Wigan are dominating Saints, 14-0 after 50mins. They have been very impressive so far and Saints need a bit of a miracle to get into this game.
Get in there. Another massive win at York.
What a brilliant game between Catalans and Warrington. 14-14 with 15min to go. Warrington down to 12 after Dudson red carded for a punch.
Warrington win 14-20. Catalans denied a try under the sticks with minutes to go for a very marginal offside.
good game, once again Leeds terrible start but rallying in the 2nd half FT 18-17
oh for another kevin sinfield for those conversions though, think that was four missed today
Leeds 34 Hull FC 10
Warrington 6 Wigan 13
Huddersfield 26 Catalans 14
HKR 26 St Helens 14
Willie Isa just been interviewed post game with a lump on his head the size of a melon 😳
Tough lad!
Didn't see it but looks like a good win for Leigh over Leeds tonight.
Anyone see the warm up last night between Catalan and St Helens when a local bull broke loose and chased the players! Catalan wear red so they cleared off sharpish!
lovely touch Leeds Rhinos :agree:
Leeds Rhinos: Super League side to wear Doddie Weir tribute kit - BBC Sport
Leeds Rhinos will wear a special kit in tribute to Doddie Weir in their Magic Weekend game against Castleford in Newcastle next month.
I see that there is a train strike planned for June 3rd which is going to mean out planned trip to the magic weekend will no longer happen.
quite astonishing this 2nd half display from 12 men Rhinos
70 mins Wigan 18 Leeds 34
home fans leaving
3rd interception Wigan 18 Leeds 40
Leigh up to 5th with a good win at Huddersfield
What a result for Leeds!
Rhinos for once put in a 1st half display and lead by 14-0, only for Wigan to turn it around and win 18-14, not one point for them in the 2nd half although Newman preferred to be a greedy git by wanting the headlines himself and didn't make the the pass inside for what would have been a winning try/con, cost his side a place
Brilliant ending in the HKR v Wigan game tonight.
Wigan score right on the final second to draw level, HKR hit the post with a golden point drop goal attempt and then Wigan slice through and score a try for the win.
Cracking stuff.
Another great clash tonight in Leeds v Saints.
12-12 and heading for golden point. Leeds down to 12 after a punch thrown.
Saints now down to 12 after a sin bin but Leeds miss a 40m penalty attempt. 5mins to go.
Saints nick it with a drop goal in the last 30 seconds.
after six losses on the trot for Castleford who would you ,love to play, Leeds Rhinos :agree:, this Rhinos side can be truly awful
even when it went 24-14 leeds i went straight on Bet365 to put a bet on Cas winning, unfortunately they only had odds up for tomorrows games :grr:i would have won quite a few more ££
and not for the first time this season i think i've saw one of thee worst Rugby players(League or Union) that i've saw for many many years......... Olpherts, a seriously poor rugby player and i just cannot fathom why he got a full 80 mins, that's two of Castlefords three wins this season came against Rhinos
well done wakefield, finally after 14 straight losses all they needed was a game against the side with the softest underbelly in the league.... Rhinos
same with Castleford, 3 wins all season with two of those against the Rhinos :agree:
another error strewn performance
so, from their worst performance in super league in losing to Wakefield they then go and beat Huddersfield 54-0 :)
Blake Austin outstanding
Excellent first half from The Rhinos 0-16 up vs Warrington , but the wives have been pretty poor so far
that could be the try that wins it for Rhinos :) 6-22 still 10 mins remaining
Couple of shocks in the challenge cup semi finals with Leigh beating St Helens yesterday and Hull KR at 10-10 against Wigan with 10mins to go.
Wigan been down to 12 for a while so Hull will be favourites to win.
Best line of commentary from Brian Noble "Oh, we've got a semi on our hands now lads"
Hull KR win it 11-10 with a GP drop goal.
Well. What a day that was. Not cried so much since 21/05/2016
We needed an hour in Club Wembley just to take it all in after the game, but saw the second half of the Fax game. What a finish. Chuffed Fax got the win though for my mates who support them.
Catalan and Wigan playing on a pitch that looks like it has a seriously bad rash.
NRL finals underway this weekend. Couple of one sided wins but also 2 tight ones and this morning's game between Newcastle and Canberra has been brilliant. 28 each and heading to extra time.
Melbourne Storm v Sydney Roosters. Cracking game
Warriors on fire
Walsh is superb, I really thought NZ would struggle after losing him but pleased to see them going so well. With Reynolds steering Brisbane around, they will tough to beat.
As expected, Penrith smashed Melbourne by 38-4.
Brisbane v NZ tomorrow at 10.50am
Really enjoyed the Leigh v Wigan game on Friday. One hell of a fight for the League Leaders Shield in the end. Losing the chance of a home play off v Hull KR probably means a step too far for Leigh but you never know.
Grand Final time. Hope it's a cracker.
Lung bursting start to his game , it's been pretty intense so far
Brisbane will be happy it's only 6-0 at the moment as Penrith are dominating. It was a terrible try to concede. Both drop outs from Brisbane have been terrible.
Huge score for Brisbane right on HT to go in at just 8-6 down. They have been second best for almost the entire half.
Perfect start to the second half for the Broncos
Role reversal. Brisbane have blitzed them this half and now 18-8 up. What have Penrith got left...
Superb stuff from The Broncos
Fantastic try. Walsh comes to the party and sets up a second half hat trick for Mam (a 11 minute hat trick!)
Interesting finish. Hope Brisbane see it out!
Game On , Panthers no dead yet, building up to a fantastic finish to the game
Here come Penrith. What a game!
Fiesty stuff this , plenty of needle between the players
FFS. Sky have lost the feed
Some come back. Clearly has dragged them from nowhere to what seems like victory.
Oh wow what a comeback. And no the Sky sports feed has packed up with 3 mins to go! 😡
Phew , its back not missed the finish
What a game, absolutely gutted for Brisbane
Dunno whether Brisbane chucked it or Penrith were just brilliant. Bit of both probably.
Clearly was simply superb in that last 20mins.
SkyGo wouldn’t work in Majorca so tried following via NRL Twitter posting videos a few minutes later. Odd way to follow the game but still got the impression it was a cracker!
Catalans v Saints should be a good one tonight. Alright got my tickets sorted for the Grand Final and I think any of the possible combinations should be a belter.
A real grind of a game. Saints defence has strangled Catalans so far. 15mins to go and it's a dour 4-6 to Saints.
Tomkins with a bit of stardust wins it right at the end. Saints fans will have hated him ending their grip on the silverware.
Grand Final tonight, hopefully it's a cracker between Wigan and Catalans.
I read that Newcastle have joined London (Skolars) in dropping out of League One which isn't great for the sport in those respective area"s though London Bronco's have a shot at getting to Super League in the Championship final.
I'd love to see a Scottish Franchise get a place in League One (or above) to try and grow the game here beyond the 4 or 5 regional clubs that play a very small scale summer league.
And if you need any League today then Australia v Samoa is on Sky this morning.
2-2 at HT. Given there was nothing between these teams at the end of the regular season, it's not surprising this is tight and tense.
Wigan win 10-2 and deservedly so. Catalans had a couple of players in the bin which didn't help but at no point did they look like breaking the Wigan defence.
Wigan Warriors looking to make it a double win tonight. Warriors wheelchair team are in the Grand Final Vs The Leeds Rhinos
London win the championship playoff to gain promotion. Some run they had, beating Sheffield, Featherstone and Toulouse - all away from home.
Went to the game last night, would have preferred it to be a little more open but a good night all the same.
Watched the London game and chuffed for them with the work they put in to player development. Not a single ‘heartlands’ player in their side which has to be an inspiration to all. Shame to miss on a weekend in Toulouse next year though!
Wheelchair final was fantastic. Expected nothing less after going to the wheelchair World Cup final last year.
Sky showing every super league game live starting 2023/24
3-year deal showing 170 games/season, video refs in every game
wonder if they will have Saturday night games, definitely a Sunday game, i can't see them showing two games on a Friday night which leaves five other games to fit in over the weekend, i can possibly see at least one game on a Monday night or another midweek day
this could actually get quite saturated fitting all those games in live, obviously fans of each club will watch their sides games but surely Sky will want those fans also watching the other games for viewing figures, i'll probably only watch the Rhinos games :greengrin
I’m expecting it to be similar to midweek EFL games with one live and others on the red button, albeit maybe a little bit more spread out than the EFL programme. Splitting the games right through from Thursday night to Sunday night causes all sorts of complications with player welfare etc
England v Tonga on BBC1 at the moment. Pretty physical stuff!
Wasn’t expecting that score in the NZ v Aus game
Hell of a result. Thought Flashscores was having a funny turn when I first checked the result!
Not seen any of the England game yet with being at Hampden but sounded like a good win
not only am i surprised Myler has left Rhinos with a year left on his contract Richie Myler: Leeds Rhinos full-back leaves to join Championship side York Knights - BBC Sport
i'm even more surprised he's chosen to drop down a division
Thought he struggled to keep with the pace last season and I guess his options are fairly limited if he wanted to stay around Leeds and Cas or Huddersfield didn’t want him. Not sure his off field activities were particularly well received within the team either.
Elland Road hosting magic weekend for the first time next year :)
