The English pundits like those two care only for the Champions League. They take a passing interest in the Europa if any of their clubs get to the end, but even then it’s very much treated as a lesser thing. The Conference League will be dismissed even more so, unless or until an English team looks like winning it.
The likes of Ferdinand can barely string a coherent sentence together. Having overly coordinated feet doesn’t lead to having an opinion worth a damn.
No doubt Jenas will be happy to commentate on it when Spurs play in it though.
Clubs like Everton, Leeds and Aston Villa would love to be part of the competition, their supporters have gone years without watching their team play in Europe, for many supporters a lot of their enjoyment is the match day experience, the away trips to places you’ve never visited, playing in some of the best and worst stadiums in Europe, that’s what makes playing in Europe so special and you can actually win a trophy at the end of it.
I hadn’t realised how few teams go directly into the europa league now. The qualification process is so much shorter than the other two tournaments, with only a handful of teams going in at each stage. Half of the teams in the tournament will have dropped down from the champions league.
it is a ridiculous situation that teams in the Champions League qualifiers have to lose 3 times before they are out of Europe I.e club loses Champions league qualifier so drop down to the Europa league qualifiers and have another go and if they lose again, never mind have a go at the Confrence qualifiers. As in life the rich can't fail and get loads of chances.
Never mind, let's see if we can get 3 lucky draws and 6 decent performances. A long shot but let's see what we draw.

C'mon, just give us Hibernians.
Is there any regionalising in the ECL qualifying rounds?
Does the draw format follow that of EL previously in which the pool of teams is split into groups of 10 (5 seeded, 5 unseeded)?
I’m not sure if they’ve officially announced how it’s going to be done but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s split in to the groups by some form of regionalisation in the early rounds, especially this year to help with any travel restrictions etc.
Based on how they’ve done it in recent years we’re probably more likely to be playing one of the UK/Ireland teams, or someone from the Faroes, Iceland or one of the Scandinavian countries
Thanks, in that case we can probably reduce that list St Pauli posted to something like the below.
Dynamo Brest (Belarus)
Winners of match involving KUPS (Finland)
Winners of match involving FH (Iceland)
Valerenga (Norway)
Hammarby IF (Sweden)
BK Hacken (Sweden)

I am sure I saw on twitter last night we had drawn the winners of a match in Hungary (Winners of match involving Puskas Academia). It was late so my eyes would not be at their best then but I saw the Saltire then Hibernian vs Winners of match involving Puskas Academia (Hungary), 1st leg at home. I assume the draw hasn't been made and what I saw was someones attempt at a 'practise' draw of something similar.
Hopefully we don't get a Swedish or Norwegian side.
When is the draw being made?
