The replay is unbelievable, it’s a miracle that he managed to get out and vault the barrier. The doctors and marshals did a great job helping him. I’m still shaking watching all these replays as well, he was in amongst that fire for a wee while.Quote:

We all remember Bianchi's horrendous crash which led to the Halo, but I'm sure there are others on this thread who remember the weekend that took the lives of Senna and Ratzenberger and damn near took the life of Barrichello.
I've watched highlights and replays so many times. I can't believe that Roman Grosjean is still alive.

Re Hamilton, he's an inspiration, his sheer dedication to his craft from the age of around 6 years old in the face of racism and constantly being told "you can't do this" is amazing. Him and Andy Murray share similar traits of complete and utter focus on winning, certainly 2 of the greatest ever British athletes.
Yep. I always liked Hamilton and Button in the same team as they pushed each other well. Russell would learn a lot from Hamilton and would keep him very honest for those next titles. Just seen the sad news that Murray Walker has passed away. Always used to love his commentary when I was growing up.
Sad news.
Murray Walker was synonymous with Formula One. Like Harry Carpenter and Boxing and Bill McLaren and Rugby. Such is the exposure of sport nowadays we won't see these singular figures again.

Great start to the season. Hamilton looks well up for the challenge from Verstappen and looks like being an epic battle. Agree that Mazepin is nowhere near good enough for F1. Was disappointed that Gasly couldn’t be more involved but after having to pit so early for a front wing change then he was always going to struggle. 3 week gap now to Imola.
