I think in the long run you stand up for the UK economy by taking the Canadian approach rather than the Starmer approach. There is a lot to be said for self respect.

It wouldn't. He's a dick, and the whole world needs to stand together and stand up to him - even if part of that tactic involves sending Starmer as his pal to cuddle up to him nauseatingly at times and let him think he's getting his own way.
We've got "cards" - holding the open at Turnberry, trips to visit the King etc. These cards should be used to extract the absolute maximum not just for the UK but the entire world and not given away cheaply. Unless we were to be receiving an awful lot, these "Trump cards" should be kept in our pocket.
They don’t work though? We have the same tariffs as everyone else. And we look weak in the process. It’s embarrassing.
