He's really struggling for villa atm. He was named captain whilst probably in his worst form of his career, and has been really struggling since. He's even playing as more of a box to box #8 now so should suit him more than playing deep but he's just nowhere near the same player as he was 2 seasons ago/for Scotland.Quote:

The statement made when smith was sacked was along the lines of not enough improvement. Tell you what, as a Villa fan as well as Hibs, I much preferred watching Dean Smiths villa than Gerrards.
