:agree: Exactly. The Sunderland documentary gave us the example of Jack Rodwell. Signed for £10 million on £3million a year wages, basically downed tools and kept raking in his salary despite barely playing and contributing a mere 5 goals in 4 years. His and others contracted wages hamstrung Sunderland for years afterwards. If theyd have negotiated a loan the risk diminishes. Obviously its a higher echelon of spending but the principle remains the same.Quote:
