I watched the Rumble in the Jungle fight Ali v Foreman tonight via YouTube. U.S. footage and absolutely brilliant. David Frost ringside with Joe Frazier. Incredible stuff. I’m old enough to remember the stir it caused at the time and it’s great to see it all these years later.
That was quite an amusing weigh in. Tyson Fury rarely disappoints.
Just reading some boxer/pundit/commentators’ predictions for tonight, quite a few backing Wilder, I didn’t expect that based on how one sided the last fight was.
Fury has had an interrupted training camp, his daughter was seriously ill in hospital recently and he was in there with her sleeping on the floor.Quote:

These early morning fights are a killer, back in the day I’d stay up, but these days it’s complete bewilderment for around 30 seconds when the alarm goes off. I’m up though, bring on the main event.

Thought the cards were pretty shocking in the Canelo fight, Plant did really well, but Canelo just punches holes right through people and the stoppage was pretty savage
I thought Canelo won that comfortably. It wasn't massively flashy for long spells and Plant deserves credit for making it awkward but I'd struggle to give him too many rounds.
He's always had it in his locker but his last couple of fights has seen a suggestion he may be in a wee bit of trouble and he's pulled out huge, savage stoppages.
Great to see Lee McGregor signing with Matchroom and on the Chisora v Parker bill. Fast Eddie now has both Lee & Kash Farook on his books…….

Thought Porter gave a really good account of himself but Crawford was always looking to catch him lunging in and when he did it was only a matter of time. Clinical when it came to finishing the fight albeit I think the corner could have let it go a wee bit longer.

No rematch clause, so he should get the same rematch that he gave loma. He's getting tons of abuse for his post fight interview saying he won. He needs shot of his dad. He was telling him to go for kos and that he was winning every round, made him cocky and get hit constantly
