The Dirt - Netflix movie about Motley Crue.
Really enjoyed it but I was a bit of a fan back in the day great music.
The book it’s based on is superb.
Watched the first 3 or 4 Afterlife with the missus and it is a good watch, like Extras and the Office its something me and her can watch and enjoy together.
I was also coming on to mention The Dirt. Watched it at the weekend and thought it was a decent, fun to watch movie. I believe its being slated by the critics but loved by the fans. I recommend anyone who has an interest in Motley Crue or watching a movie on the typical sex drugs and rock n roll lifestyle.
I was amazed that such a knob like 'Machine Gun Kelly' played the part of Tommy lee brilliantly and surprisingly, looks like he could be a very good actor.
The Dirt was excellent.
That old cliche of ‘the book is better’ is true but I loved the film. Probably helps that Motley Crue are ****ing class.
Babes in the wood (not a particularly easy watch), Trevor McDonald programme on ITV last night about the hunt for the murderer of two 9 year old girls in Brighton in the late 80's.
Alan Partridge with his Irish Guest (also Steve Coogan) was one of the funniest things I have seen for years. I have watched so many times and still can't stop laughing at it.
It's all about Line of Duty.
The BBC viewing right now is impressive, Line of duty, Alan Partridge and Fleabag are all superb.
24 Hours in Police Custody is excellent, a real insight into police work and what they're up against.
Deutschland 86 is a bit disappointing compared to the first series, interesting enough though.
Quite enjoying ' the Bay' STV Drama
The last episode of This Time - Alan Partridge was very good. Probably a bit Marmite-ish for a lot of folk but Steve Coogan’s comedy timing is superb.
Mayans Mc was good. The deaging in the flash back scenes were a bit iffy but other than that I enjoyed it.
The Umbrella Academy.
Our Planet - spectacular but ultimately very depressing.
Will be watching OA season 2 , Season 1 was outstanding
I thought the series was slightly more miss than hit, but still enjoyed it. Liked the interviews with Ruth running gag. Particularly the interview with her at Parliament where she kept saying the opposite of whatever Alan said. Was up there with the other top Partridge moments IMO.
Plus Susannah Fielding 😍
Just got round to watching "They shall not grow old", quite a humbling bit of TV.
Tonight’s 24 hours in Police Custody was brilliant. That surgeon was one of the biggest control freaks I’ve ever seen. Literally did not allow anyone to finish a sentence before talking over them.
The victim is looking good and tense.
Just started Black Sails, think a few people have mentioned it on here.
Thought the Victim was outstanding !
Loved the part were Kelly Mcdonald was walking through an underground bridge and on the wall said 'choose life'
Last night's episode of The Grand Tour was outstanding TV - absolutely superb.
Frankie Boyles New World Order is brilliant
Finished S2 of Ozark really is excellent think S3 is later this year.
Season 2 of Berlin Station starts this week, really enjoyed s1.
Black Summer
Onto this now zombie series very good so far pretty relentless pace compared to the walking dead.
Game of thrones.....a lot of fan favs are gonna die next week eh?
Just started unabomber on Netflix - enjoying it so far.
Just finished the Bay , Very decent
Morven Christie is a wee cutie !
It seems police procedurals remain my current go-to.
Really enjoying the new Line of Duty, and season 5 of Bosch on Amazon has been superb (with 2 episodes still to go). The entire 5 seasons of Bosch have been stellar television right enough.
My wife recommended fleabag and I've watched 2 series in a couple of weeks, genius.
I'm not enjoying the latest series of billions. It's just too ridiculous.
The last episode of Got was great, especially Tormund with the giantsbane story.
Need to catch up with line of duty
I see The Shield is available on All4, well worth a watch if you haven't watched it yet.
I watched the first series of Sex Education on Netflix. Was decent, a bit like a slightly more mature version of The Inbetweeners.
Latest episode of Game Of Thrones was absolutely outstanding!
Is there any chance the GOT spoilers could be kept off this thread please?
I've not seen any of this season yet.
That was something else, wow!
I'd recommend watching it in the dark with the brightness slightly turned up.
Would've been great to see in a cinema.
Line of Duty keeps delivering knockout drama, week in, week out.
The setup this season has been superb. I've found myself shifting positions a few times, and I don't think the story is as it seems (as of Sunday's episode).
I've also just finished Season 5 of Bosch on Amazon. Not quite as punchy as some of the earlier seasons but I still really enjoyed it. I love how much the City of LA is a character in its own right.
An oldie, but I've just finished watching all of Dexter. First 4 seasons were class and then it all fell down from there. Watched Ricky Gervais afterlife after that. Anyone seen either?
loved afterlifehttps://www.hibs.net/image/gif;base6...8FEEVdE0MEADs=
You can discuss the merits of the programmes (as has happened) for 78 pages, without posting spoilers.
:agree: As I said, I don't think there are any spoilers on this thread. Somebody said they suspected Lisa was a cop, i explained that there is more clarity about that storyline in episode 3. That's not a spoiler. If you don't get to talk about bits of the plot in a coded way there's no point talking about TV beyond 'that show is good' 'that show isnae good' which we can all get from a review site anyway.
Anyone else watching Clink on Ch5? Can't decide if it's decent or absolute bollocks 😃
9 minutes until the finale of Line of Duty.
Mother of God...
The BBC announced as much at the end of the episode while certain cast members have apparently been offered contracts for future series.
I only got into this on series four so last week I started to watch the first series onwards. It made a lot more sense! I’ve only got a couple of episodes of season three to go.
One thing I really enjoyed about it was that there’s not a character wasted with everyone of them having some sort of back story.
Watched the first episode series 2 of the OA , Decent enough viewing
