Was probably Hermit in his eagerness to leave Musselburgh behind him.

I had an arse of a driver do a left turn from the right hand lane at Randolph Cr heading into town, I peeped and watched him speed away toward Queen St, caught up to him at Nth Charlotte St lights, then again at Fredrick St lights all the way along to the Omni, such a massive advantage he got eh, dick.
Twat in a black BMW this morning who decided he would suddenly cross the white lines onto my side of the road to pass a cysclist causing me to swerve to avoid a head on
One of my mates was cycling up the steep hill of the Radical Road yesterday lunchtime and was involved in an altercation with a car driver who got out and spat in his face.
Some people shouldn't be out unsupervised never mind driving a car.
Who here drives with a dash cam?
I do.
I'm getting very close to getting one, I'm just not sure what it would achieve, it's not like they provide any defence or protection from the idiots out there.
Just yesterday I had an idiot on the Gogar R-A-B that basically pushed in from his lane to mines. No indication from him and no requirement for the manoeuvre. I had to brake or be hit, simple as that. He done it with full knowledge I was there and he wasn't sorry for doing so.
What would I do with the footage, Police Scotland, unlike the Metropolitan Police, have no facility to submit video so nothing would be done about it unless there was an actual collision. I could post it on YouTube, but again, to what end?
It might, I don't know. I drive a wee works van and they deal with all that. It does remove false accusations, see Scouse reply above.
I use a tablet as sat nav and in addition I've added a dash cam app, it was free so why not?
I loaded it after I was stopped by the police who said I'd gone through a red light. I was convinced I hadn't. I didn't get charged but the footage would have removed any debate.
There's also a case outstanding with the police where another driver has made a complaint against me. I can't wait to show them the footage and that it was the other driver that was acting like a total prick. I'll be cleared, he'll get the minimum of a severe ticking off!
There's also been a couple of instances where another driver has jumped out their vehicles waving a mobile phone saying they're photographing me! When I reply they're already on video they've become somewhat sheepish and run away!
Got a nextbase dash cam hardwired the other day, had a accident last month when someone hit me on the m8, luckily had an independent witness driving behind who pulled over and backed up my version of events, might not be so lucky the next time so getting one was a no brainer, the good thing about nextbase as it has WiFi and you can upload footage to your phone straight away, I reckon if a lot more people had them, people might think twice about pulling of dangerous manoeuvres.
There was a guy on a bike last night on Clerk Street weaving about the road with no lights on. He was cycling with one had because he had a dog on a lead with him and the dog was on the outside occasionally wandering into the path of cars.
Whilst someone that stupid would be doing themselves and the human race a favour by removing themselves from the gene pool I can't help feeling sorry for the poor dog who must have been terrified.
People who barge into the gap that buses leave in front of them.
That seemingly large space is there because a 16 tonne coach can’t stop as easily as a car and it needs a bigger safe stopping distance.
Good luck if you do that and then have to brake suddenly. It’s your kids in the back you utter arse-hole
Folk that don't signal at roundabouts.
I got short shrift yesterday from a fellow hibby at the roundabout between Lochend & Marionville Road. He came on and wasn't indicating right, so I assumed he wasn't going right so I pulled out,,,, he was going right. Normally I wouldn't pull out but after the match you either take your chances there or wait until nightfall!
Understandably he was aggrieved so let me know it through leaning on the horn.
Mea culpa!
Folk that drive over the new forth bridge at 40mph...wtf???
Oh man, can’t stand when a******* do that!
Happened to me at Leith Links, the sign clearly stated that I had right of way of ahead of the oncoming vehicle. Clearly the driver on the opposite end either failed to acknowledge it or just wanted to be a smart arse and decided to accelerate faster so he could make it over before I did. I give him a huge honk on the horn and a few deservedly verbals as I had my little one in the car and it could easily have been a full on collision if I never slowed down which he should have done as I had the right of way first to advance. The prick, rolls his window down and starts calling me a p*** and telling me to f*** off back to my own country. Funnily enough, I was actually born in this country! 😂
Scottish Government's fault. When it opened it was hyped up to the extent that people from all over Britain, and probably beyond, travelled to enjoy the "once in a lifetime experience" of walking across it. I don't drive at 40 but every time I cross it I do take foot off accelerator a wee bit, look around me, and wonder what the heckingbottom all the fuss was about, as it's basically a **** bridge from which you can't even properly see the other two, excellent, bridges.
Driving through Holyrood park the other night on my way to work at around 22:20, admittedly I was doing 30 in a 20 but a private hire people carrier type cab drove right up behind me, started flashing his lights at me then overtook me before the roundabout where you turn right to head past the Parliament building or straight ahead to Dynamic earth etc. He must have been doing 50 and this clown had a fare in the back, I passed him again on Calton rd at the corner of New St where his fare was getting out. Quite ridiculous driving. Had the dash cam footage but have since deleted it unfortunately.
