Part of the reason that Donald Trump wants to dismantle it in the first place is why he'll find it so difficult and probably not succeed - there are checks, balances and legalities that stop Donald Trump doing whatever he wants.
The terrifying article is exactly what he'd do if he had his own way - ok, he's won an election and is in office but there's a long way to go before America becomes an autocracy. Whilst I wouldn't entirely rule it out, I think it's more likely that he pisses off and plays golf or watches himself on tv most of the time.
