Having played at Hibs youths that was looked after by John Park for a while (after Hibs stupidly punted Hugh McGorm), I have to say - I thought he was a right pr8ck.

Always going on how he was the one that got Mixu to the club...blah blah blah.

Very good of them but I thought they might have found him a job in hospitality or something - head of the youth academy at Celtic seems quite high profile for your 1st gig.

I thought that too. How old is he, 25, 26 maybe? He's also got zero coaching experience. Big job for him.

Would John Park return to Hibs anyway?

They took him on as a scout early in 2010 and must reckon he's showing promise.

I was told a few weeks ago that John Park was not happy at Celtic and would be happy to return to Hibs if the opportunity was there. I didn't think much about it at the time but it's obviously more relevant now.

I wonder if some of the posters on here have supported Hibs for very long. When Petrie has decided who is getting the job they'll announce it. If there's nothing to say you'll hear nothing.

thats true the papers have nothing to go on how often does that happen when a clubs looking for a manager got to give the club credit for keeping it in house

I think we should bounce back and beat kilmarnock on Saturday and then Hearts hopefully Get beat against Aberdeen with both of us winning next week and We win Derby With first time at home Steve Clarke Would be a great game.

Not bad if we get both a Manager that Has great contacts and was assistance at chelsea winning league twice and at west ham with a chelsea legend.
And the assistance who produced the best game in front of the new East stand.

The past managers hibs and hearts have had have Mostly been Only good for one season i have great confidence in Clarke and Stark.

don't disagree with anything you say mate, but Clarke is just a rumour one of many in what has been an awfully long week and a bit. Starting to get the feeling that the Steve Clarke thing has snowballed out of control on the back of the fact the bookies have him as strong favourite. all i'm saying is like you i'm hoping it is him but don't get yer hopes up there could a few feeling a big anti-climax when we appoint the tea lady:greengrin
