Bit of a war of attrition so far, SA 3 Wales 3.
9-3 SA, yellow card Wales.
12-3
not a game for rugby purists, riddled with errors
as much possession that SA have had they're not great to watch
Wales could steal this, but not with kicks like that
oh well mucked my bet up but well done wales if they win this, SA are horrible to watch going forward
lovely conversion
12-11 SA, conversion pending for Wales.
12-13
so, scores on the doors for the Southern v Northern Hemisphere games today
Japan 15 France 20
New Zealand 12 Ireland 23
Australia 17 England 25
South Africa 12 Wales 13
to wrap it up
Argentina v Scotland
feel for townsend watching his side go ahead and then immediately watch Gilchrist roll his arm around the argentinians neck to gift the most idiotic of penalties, freakin schoolboy error
how in the actual **** does kinghorn miss that conversion wind or not  8-6 scotland and good decision not to take the easy 3 points in front of goals
HT not pretty
Kinghorn isn't a 10. Townsend likes him as he can play 11, 14, 15 and 10 at a push. I can't see why we are trying to make him our No1 stand off. Still don't like Townsend as a coach
no holding us back now 13-6, con to come:greengrin
15-6
15-6
sooooooo typical Scotland 11-15
but i think that will get chalked off for an earlier forward pass
it does
6-15 again :)
home side sin bin
Try Scotland con to come 20-6
22-6
The Kinghorn experiment (at this level) has failed. I never want to hear a bad word about Russell again.
nice try 29-6 that should be enough
Some turnaround from the first half performance.
Much better 2nd half so far. More accuracy from Scotland but we have got a a bit lucky a couple of times
some great defence there
so, deciders in all four tests next weekend
Next week, Scotland and England to win. Ireland and Wales to lose
I think Ireland might just beat the All Blacks. Thats most intreaging game for me. I think SA will bring their big guns back and beat Wales, Scotland to beat Argentina. England v Australia you could flick a coin!
Great day today though for the Northern hemisphere
thought Ireland definitely got the rub yesterday
the first all black yellow was extremely harsh in my eyes, the guy is already in the air trying to block the kick, where is he supposed to go or get out the way? It’s a penalty for sure, a yellow seems ott
similar with the red, horrible clash of heads, I think the all black is caught out by the change of direction with the inside pass, and neither player can react to move their heads out the way. I get the argument that the tackler has the greater responsibility to get lower or avoid the head contact, but that to me is more about guys hitting opponents in the head with their shoulders or arms.
also, separate to that, whoever the Irish co-commentator is, is ridiculously biased, demanding penalties and cards constantly, never giving credit to the opposition, just whining constantly
Namibia beat Kenya 36-0 to qualify for WC23
they join pool A along with
France
New Zealand
Italy
Uruguay
The expectations being placed on Blair are insane. He's been exceptional for Edinburgh at 10 this year and has shown that in flashes for Scotland. I'd agree, he's not the best player we have at that position - Russell, Hastings and probably (eventually) Thompson all look more comfortable there, but Blair definitely has a future with the national side. I'd perhaps agree that future shouldn't be at 10, but he's a good player!
Great victory for Ireland over the New Zealand Maori . Pretty decent game
Here we go, what a great days sport we have ahead of us.
NZ v Ireland to kick us off.
22-3 Ireland approaching HT.
22-17, Ireland on a yellow card.
NZ coming right back into this. Ireland temporarily down to 14.
17-22
Bah, 22-32 Ireland.
Ireland will win the WC next year :agree:
Good start to the day, plenty more to come.
That is a great result for Ireland. They have grown and grown as a rugby nation over the last 20/25 years and we have stood still. Fully expect us to be Argentina but no way would we have won a series in NZ.
7-3 Aussies
10-3
10-11 ht
10-14
aussies are pretty poor
england should win this
10-21
another poor Oz knock-on
Try Oz 15-21 con to come
17-21
aussies have had a lot of the ball the last 10+ mins, they need that try though
wow and yet again another error
FT 17-21 time to change channel in case eddie jones is on
quite an amazing stat that, after two games and 20 mins wales have been in the SA 22 only six times and have came away with five tries
10-5 con missed
FT 30-14 SA
Georgia beat Portugal 23-14, now just need Scotland and USA v Chile today for my four fold
USA lead by just one point from the 1st leg, Winner goes to the WC
brilliant try van der merwe
3-7
I'm sure I heard the commentator say that an Argentina prop was 24st. Surely not.
Try Argentina 10-7
Scotland have someone called Rufus playing. How very Rugby 😄
brave decision not taking the 3 points
turns out the right call
10-12 con to come
10-14
very poor from rufus McLean jeezo totally isolated himself
pen Argentina 13-14
these line-outs are shocking, that's our 3rd own line-out loss
MMmmm taking a penalty from near the half-way line now because we can't trust our own line-out
hits the crossbar
great start to the 2nd half, Try 13-19 difficult con to come, lovely kick 13-21
what an erky Scotland made with that Argentinian restart
long career ahead for Darge if he keeps up performances
much much better Try 13-26 van der merwe, converted 13- 28
Scotland concede a penalty once again from the restart
Argentina try 18-28 get those restarts sorted 20-28
Blair has played brilliantly today: he was unlucky with the penalty off the bar. Darge has been exceptional at the breakdown today.
jesus wept yet another line-out loss wtf is going on
and AGAIN
pen Scotland 20-31
and of course we muck up the restart
incredible how we have mucked up so often after the restart, Try Argentina 25-31
lovely conversion 27-31
So many basic ****ing errors in every single game we play.
can't blame townsend for this
we're gonna blow this aren't we
freakin absolutely incredible another loss at our line-out, in 40+ years of watching top tier rugby i've never ever saw a Scottish performance like this
thank god for Argentina knocking on again, then of course we gift it away again
is their insider betting going on here
Argentina win, 15 points down at one time
shameful error-strewn performance absolutely shocking
So many mistakes and silly penalties whilst in possession in that 2nd half it was ridiculous, surely had to take the 3 pts when we were 4 ahead. 🙁
especially after losing, i think at that stage, EIGHT of our own line-outs
i had to laugh when 3 or four times they won a scrum and cheered like they had won the WC, even they should have eventually realised the resulting kick for touch would be lost anyway...like it was time and time again
Townsend can leave tomorrow - you don't take your captain off when your backs are against the wall with 5 minutes to go. You don't leave the same knackered prop on for 80 minutes. It's the same every time we play: penalty after penalty after penalty, and a total lack of ability to convert set pieces (our line-out was as bad as I've ever seen it tonight).
We're not progressing under Townsend - quite the opposite - we've regressed to a sorry, sorry side.
Thank goodness I get to see another season of Boff in an Edinburgh shirt though - he won't be there long if he keeps playing the way he has this past year.
whoever our line-out coach is needs ****** sacked
A dejected Hamish Watson has been giving his reaction to Sky Sports:
"It's a very different feeling to last week", he said. "We were architects of our own downfall.
"We let them back into the game - when we were receiving, we couldn't get out of out half.
"Our set-piece wasn't good enough today - it's tough when your lineout doesn't work. We need to stick together, and build on this for the autumn."
Townsend can gtf for me. Huge mistake in letting Cotter go. Do we ever practice restarts? ****ing years we have been a joke at restarts. Scottish Rugby needs a complete overhaul. I have spoken about it at length before but we are a disgrace at grass roots to under the pro teams. A ****ing shambles but we paper over the cracks as the national side has been ok. We'll sadly we are not ok any more. We need to learn from Ireland. Schools and club rugby is the foundation if their success. Schools rugby in Scotland is for private schools only in the main. There is hardly any rugby played at our main stream Schools and that has to change. Invest that BT sponsorship money into grass roots clubs and schools and get more kids playing. Depressing
Can we stick at least five past fatso please?
Scotland 7's finished 6th in both men and women's events

Argentina v Australia tonight, i see michael hooper has returned home for personal reasons
Seems he's struggling with his mental health - absolutely fair play for being brave enough to speak up and take steps to look after himself.
Fancy the Pumas tonight - looking forward to seeing Boffelli again - will be amazed if he's still with Edinburgh after this season - he's had a sensational couple of years.
If this All Blacks team turns up at Murrayfield in a few months, we'll never have a better chance of finally getting a win against them!
The commentators on this are absolutely awful!
7-0 Argentina - solid try - lovely inside pass in the build-up!
eek missed the first 8 mins :greengrin
7-3
from the restart the australian player gets the ball taken from him like taking sweets from a wean
pen 10-3
Boff doesn't miss those :greengrin
wow if the aussies carry on giving away the cheapest of penalties then the home side will have a great chance
13-3
Far too easy for the Wallabies - 13-8
