Have we sold out yet?
There is a reason that you cant buy tickets for big games unless you have a history - its to stop huns etc registering and buying.
This is pretty much a non issue for this game, because even if someone has only just bought a ST, chances are they have been buying individual match tickets for a while, and hence are probably registered for more than the minimum period.
There might be a handful of people who have just decided to follow Hibs, and who just decided to get a ST............but its not really a big problem.
I agree. Surely the fact that you have a ST proves that you're not a sticky bun.
I doubt any of them are so desperate to see them in the flesh rather than watch on TV that they'd shell out the best part of £400, particularly when we're only guaranteed to play them once (Huns, that is.)
Its wrong & will get sorted if you contact ticket office, I had similar problem with two of those in my group. Of course as a season ticket holder you are MORE than entitled to purchase. Again it seems like something with good intentions that hasn't been well thought out.
My sister bought an ST for the first time this year. When she logs into the system, it doesn't show a red dot in her account allow to her to buy a ticket for her ST seat for the A home game. It does however allow her to by a ticket for elsewhere in the stadium.
That doesn't seem right to me. Surely even a new ST holder should be able to buy a ticket for their own seat?
We had that problem when I got the kids first half season tickets.
I could buy them tickets for the away game at Tynecastle (0-0 when Shaw should have had a goal) but couldn't buy home cup tickets for a cat A game.
Seems like a really screwed up way of working.
Any guesses as to how many tickets will be Available when general sale opens Monday?

If only we had loyalty points, but some would moan that because you attend every game, you will have more points.
You can never make everyone happy, unfortunately, when you have 12,000 season ticket holders
You don't have to have been registered for 6 months if you've bought a ST for this season.
The 6 month thing is referring to people wanting to buy tickets in the general sale.
If you buy a ST today, you're guaranteed a ticket instead of taking the chance in the general sale tomorrow!
LPs are and always were the correct answer.
In the absence of them I have no issue with Hibs First getting theirs, then me and all other STs taking our chances in the online lottery.
I may get one, I may not - but I won't grudge those who paid for priority actually getting it !
It’s quite simple really. Every Season Ticket Holder was asked in May 2023 if they wanted a Hibs First Membership for priority away tickets to the league, domestic cups AND Europe. Those that wanted one, got one. As a result of their choice, they now have a priority window. Snooze, ya lose.
Well-said Hermit Crab. Ticket anxiety has made these people forget they had a choice and opportunity which they simply decided not to take.
The Hibs First members didn’t commit to their membership in May 2023 knowing we’d be playing Aston Villa in August, they committed so they could get good access to domestic league tickets, with the very slim possibility of a glamour European tie like this. Well done to all Hibs First members on their commitment to the club - this is a hell of a bonus for that commitment.
anyone know how much this tie is worth to us in terms of gate split and potential tv revenue?
We are guaranteed £750,000 in prize money regardless of whether we go through or not. Add in our home game you're easily looking at £1m plus in additional revenue the club will not have budgeted for.
Should we qualify we would scoop well over £3m in prize money for group stage football and thats without gate and tv money added on.
Sorry I’ve not read this whole thread, can anyone confirm that tickets go on sale to Hibs first members tomorrow for Villa away?
From Hibs website.
Supporters will need to have been registered with Hibernian FC for more than six months to be eligible to purchase tickets for this match.
Reading that, if you’ve just bought your first season ticket and that’s the first time you’ve been on the database, you’re no eligible for a ticket.
Think tickets to ST holders will be open from Thursday. Doubt they will open up tickets on Wednesday morning with most of the staff focus being on the Wednesday night game.
What’s the deal with home game tickets are these on general sale today? Still showing north stand only for STH
The real scramble begins at 1700 today for Wall ups. Good luck everyone who is desperate to attend.
If the sections of the south showing as available only currently available to season ticket holders then?
So any STH that wants to move there for that game or any FFL STH that doesn't want to be in amongst block 7?
Anyone have a number for the T.O?
The "ticket hub" is closed until tomorrow apparently. Just tried to call.
I need their help as currently my client ref won't allow me to buy any tickets- checked for the livi game. Keeps coming up with an error. Can't see this working at 5pm so need it sorted. Many thanks
I'd recommend people who aren't ST holders check their permissions as this is the case for my brothers client ref as well. Not allowing us to purchase any tickets- league games against cat B teams.
Are we just going to keep the 3 sections above the Villa fans empty?
There's around 1000 seats there and if we can't or won't sell to Hibs fans we should've just sold to Villa fans.
BTW if there is no specific rule against opposing fans sitting behind each other then we should be opening up these sections to Hibbies.
Leave the front two rows of the top tier vacant and I don't see a problem.
It's a very common practice in England such as at Wolves and Newcastle and even at both Man UTD and Man City when huge travelling supports are allowed to sit above home fans at FA Cup matches.
I've never heard of any issues.
Has their been any official information at all released on the away leg ?
Not seen number of tickets, date, prices or anything.
Have any Edinburgh club members heard anything about applying for away tickets?
Just saw and email from the club to advise that all tickets will go off sale tonight and general sale will start 10am tomorrow.
Latest email still giving incorrect information, not acknowledging the farce of on/off general sale from last week.
General sale tomorrow from 10am for home game
Looked at the stadium plan last week for Villa Park and sections P9-P11 & Q1-Q3 in the Doug Ellis Stand were greyed out, so assume we are getting those sections (maybe)......
A bit of research indicates that all those sections is around 3000 tickets but that's a bit of a guess.
Besides, even if it is, we've given them the bare minimum so I doubt they'll be inclined to exceed the reciprocal minimum amount by nigh on 1,000 unless it's just too much hassle for them to segregate it (here's hoping).
As you say the 2,100 is more likely, 500 away to HF members, a few hundred away to sponsors etc. Likely to be only around 1,000 (maybe a nudge more) available to ST holders come the ST holder sale.
We'll see but I do wonder if the delay is because there's discussion and Villa are trying to get more tickets off of Hibs with a reciprocal amount being made available?
Regardless, I just hope my internet connection is up to it come sale time.... Or could we have a good old fashioned queue up overnight instead!!!!!!
Remember that they updated the system a few years ago so even if you do have a client ref from before, if you've not bought any tickets since the update then your client ref isn't valid anymore.
Villa away on sale tomorrow at 12 for STH only, total allocation of 2146 tickets, at least 500 of those are gone already along with what the club have skimmed off the top. Good luck everyone.
