Cool, so they did switch it then. More winnable games it has to be said. We’ve beaten Afghanistan, Ireland and Namibia before. ICC will be furious!

Missed yesterday’s game but delighted Scotland have made it. It will be tough but you’ve got to be in it to win it.
Fixtures for the next stage.
25/10 Afghanistan
27/10 Namibia
3/11 New Zealand
5/11 India
7/11 Pakistan.
Looks relatively easy. :greengrin
That’s a brilliant win for Namibia. Scenes. :greengrin
Super 12 kicks off today Australia v South Africa and England v West Indies.
Bangladesh v Sri Lanka looking close on runs at the moment, although wickets falling for Sri Lanka…
A rare India v Pakistan game at 3pm should be a good watch.
India struggling a bit so far 31-3, Pakistan bowling really well.
Good comeback from India to finish on 151.
This one could go down to the wire.
Great win for Pakistan, they were brilliant today.
Afghanistan have won the toss and chosen to bat first. I’m a little bit surprised about that as teams tend to worry about dew coming down in the second innings.
Here we go then. Bowling first, so let's see how they get on.
On a slight side note, I wonder what the future holds for Afghanistan cricket now?
Oh without a doubt. I was more thinking about their future in terms of developing the next generation, given no one in the country will be doing any sport anytime soon.
Back to the game and that's a couple of sturdy looking openers who won't be running many quick singles!
Leask got a bit of a battering there. Ouch.
Oh dear, we're really needing a couple of wickets here.
Well we got 1, at least that's stopped the bleeding a bit.
And to think I questioned their decision to bat first……..
Watt bowls big Zazai. Wee glimmer of hope.
In other news, Beeb summariser John Blain is a big Hibby.
Monumental effort needed to stop the bleeding and turn this around.
New to this. Why don’t/can’t we just let Watt keep on bowling?
190-4… really poor bowling performance.
11 off the 1st over, all for munsey. Some nice revers sweeps.
What a terrible review
Coetzer gone, 28-1.
And Macleod gone first ball to a Googly.
And berrington. Disaster!
****. That'll be that then.
Never liked cricket anyway.🤬🤬😂😂
This isn’t going well
Umpires call on both those reviews, could easily have gone the other way.
Very unlucky with 2 lbws being “umpires call”. The second as close as it can be. Mujeeb bowling really well though.
Cross gone first ball, good catch but a pretty poor shot.
This could be over before the 6 o’clock news.
Pretty insurmountable task from here I would think.
Munsey gone for 25 off 17. Should have read the game better, trying to smash mujeeb having played well so far.
Leask gone, another googly, and another “umpires call”.
Well be lucky to break 70 at this rate.
This has turned into a disaster😲 53-8 now!!
The Afghanistan spinners are some of the best in the world, having to face them isn’t easy. The issue is the lack of flexibility in the batting, no attempt to rebuild as wickets fell just always looking for big runs. Sticking to the sweep mostly despite being very early in an innings.
Greaves would have survived if he’d reviewed…
56 up, not the lowest score in the super 12s!
60 all out. Really poor performance really, although those spinners will take some stopping.
Afghanistan will be a dangerous team in this tournament, that bowling attack will trouble the best batsmen.
Quinton DeKock out of the SA team for personal reasons and now Cricket SA release a statement saying they have directed all their players to take a knee.
Seems pretty clear he has refused and therefore gave up his place.
Scotland batting first against Namibia, having lost the toss. Coetzer rested himself due to a finger injury, he’s not been in great form anyway.
Munsey out first ball of the innings, 0-1…
2 for 2 😮
Abysmal start. John blain was saying he thought they looked tired pre game, hope that’s not coming through…
Berrington out lbw, looked down leg to me!
2 for 3 😮😮
Well we got through one over.
Probably should have not bothered qualifying.
Very very lucky not to be run out! A stupid, stupid, stupid run!
Best Scottish performance is from John Blaine on the radio.
I'd never heard him speak before (heard of him via playing obviously) and he's very easy to listen to.
First boundary: a streaky edge through the slips after 4.5 overs!
18-4, just when they looked like they’d played themselves in. Should have reviewed on first viewing…
I’m wrong, would have been 3 reds…
109-8, really poor. Good performance from leask and while he was in they looked like getting up to 130 but after he went there was no more in the last few overs.
Namibia win by 4 wickets with 5 balls left. That’s a really disappointing result and no mitigation for the batting this time really.
3 games to go: India, Pakistan and New Zealand…

Some Indian reaction to their loss to Pakistan.
Afghanistan did well to get close to 150, I’m really looking forward to this chase though. That Afghan attack could take them a long way in this tournament.
This could go down to the last ball. Cracking game so far.
24 of the second last over for Pakistan to win it, 4 sixes. They needed 24 to win with 2 overs to go as well.
I can see Pakistan winning the whole thing.
I was at the ICC trophy final at the Oval between India and Pakistan a few years back and it was one of the most amazing atmosphere I have experienced at any sporting occasion. They really don’t like each other. Made rival football fans seem almost civil. :greengrin
Pakistan are perhaps the most exciting team to watch in every format. On their day extremely talented and can beat anyone, however they do have numerous off days, you just never know what you're going to get with Pakistan.
As in football world cups the early matches mean little other than qualification to the next stage (semis in this case I think). Despite the earlier result still fully expect India to win this.
You’re so right about Pakistan, I love watching them but they will occasionally throw in a stinker. I’m not so sure about India winning it. I want India to win but I’m not sure they have enough in the bowling attack at T20 level, Pakistan brushed them aside with ease.
A full tilt England would have a good chance (several key players missing) and still do look useful. Pakistan will look brilliant then crash out out all for 70 :greengrin thats the way they play. After England I'd love to see them win it, such a massive lift to their entire country to if they did. Im sticking with India.
England’s bowlers going well here, Australia in full batting collapse modę.
India on the brink of an early exit after that defeat, they need other results to go their way now. To not get out of the group won’t go down well in India.
England look ridiculously strong in all aspects of the game. They are cruising through the tournament at the minute.
Scotland chasing 173 to beat NZ. Off to a decent start in the first over or so
Lost by 16 runs, a really good effort.
Scotland v India this afternoon, India won the toss and are bowling. Little bit worried about this one but would love a win!
This hasn’t gone well. Leasky is going to have to bat really well again here to have any chance.
Last Scotland game today, v Pakistan. Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat, looking at the game like an opportunity to practice defending a total. Probably means the game is more likely to go long too.
