Is it just me or does there sound like a click and a let nearly every time a serve goes over the net?

And now Fernandez breaks to lead 2-1
Yes, breaks right back.
Raducanu breaks straight back!
2-2.
Brilliant break back. She’s fantastic. 2-2.
Brilliant game. Come on Emma.
Holds to lead 3-2
Raducanu breaks!
4-2.
Backs it up with a break 4-2
Emma is certainly playing away! Massive support for Fernandez. Clss will tell though :greengrin She has been brilliant
This is unbelievable from Emma.
Raducanu one game away!
Wow!
One more game Emma.
Brilliant performance so far

Raducanu misses two match points.
5-3.
Serving for the championship 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You can’t help warming to the Canadian too, great personality.
Serve it out like a champion
Raducanu bleeding - medical timeout.
Fernandez fuming, no idea why.
Fernandez not out of this yet. If she wins the game and then her own serve, she’s in the ascendency. I think she’s a bit out of order creating a scene while Raducanu is receiving medical attention.
That booing is a disgrace.
Raducanu wins 6-4 6-3!!
Simply outstanding!
3 matches in qualifying and 7 in the main draw without dropping a single set at 18 years old.
Absolutely incredible achievement, well done Emma!
What an achievement.
What a way to win it, absolute belter of an ace!
Fantastic. GIRFUY that crowd.
Yay!!! Delighted for Emma the Champ.
f*****g brilliant Emma. What a performance. A qualifier, dropping no sets and playing like that. God I thought Andy winning at Wimbledon was emotional. Well done girl.
Fernandez still complaining, really poor behaviour.
That’s tremendous. Star in the making.
Fernandez is being a bit daft with her moaning but I hope thats just emotion getting the better of her.
As for the tennis, it was simply outstanding from start to finish and Raducanu's story is barely believable.
Those two youngsters will be playing each other again in a final I think.
Struggling to think of a more impressive achievement in British sport. It’s certainly up there with the greatest moments in GB sporting history.
Well done Emma!
Fernandez behaviour is poor but I think it can be explained if not excused. A bit of momentum, a huge moment and something totally outwith her control kills it dead. It's poor but in the heat of the moment I get it.
Anyway great achievement by both players to get to this final and particularly by Radacanu for winning it. I doubt this will be the last time we seem them face off in a Grand Slam final.
Tennis's Leicester perhaps? Anyone know what her odds were pre-tournament?
If they'd like to stop trying to credit Tim Henman for her victory some time soon, that would be great.
Brilliant result just brilliant
Well done
Wow just Wow Emma.
How is Raducanu so calm in her interview? She's impressive in so many ways!
Well done both an outstanding match and thought they were both brilliant post match considering how young they are and even more so for Fernandez who must be so bitterly disappointed.
Brilliant Emma.
I think it also goes to show how much Andy Murray winning a major does for British tennis too, the pressure put on him to win a major (and Henman before that, Rudeski too) must have been unbearable. Not saying that Emma won't have been under huge pressure, but there's no longer that massive monkey on the back and the ridicule that even Andy Murray was getting every time he came close to winning a major but not quite.
Raducanu was born the day after my daughter. For her to do what she’s done is amazing for someone so young. Oh and by the way, Piers Morgan can get it right up him.
Disagree, think the commentators were correct in highlighting that she also seemed to be deliberately making her point to the referee right in front of Raducanu which makes it worse for me.
Having said that I have just heard her post match interview and she's redeemed herself there.
Raducanu could very easily dominate women’s tennis for a long time. She was so powerful in the big points and that will stand her in good stead.
Well that was quality!!!
Just an unbelievable achievement for someone so young…writing tennis history at 18.
I hope she handles the fame well and goes on to have a great career.
The mental fortitude to get over the line there with an opponent who was not giving way was beyond description. Superb.
Phenomenal stuff. I loved watching that. The standard of tennis was insane and for Emma to hold her nerve like that was extraordinary.
A truly brilliant sporting moment, not just for British sport but one of the best I've been privileged to witness.
Called her “Wimbledon Choker” in his congratulatory tweet. Just can’t help himself, absolute moron.
I find it staggering how much he knows about the physical and psychological aspects of sport where all he seems to do is sit on his fat @rse tweeting crap all day.
Even in his RIP tweet about Sean Lock he included a joke he’d made about him..yes rest in peace but look at the bad thing he said about me.

Emma Raducanu has won the US Open. Things she hasn't done as a professional:
- Won a WTA tour match
- Played a tour level three set match(!!)
- Played on clay
- Directly entered a slam main draw
- Played five tour level events
One of the craziest breakout runs ever.
Aye, what's great is it really spurs kids on to take the sport up. I know a few teens who play and they're really committed. Only downside is the families do spend a fair amount of cash. I'm not sure if the National Lottery provide grants for kids who's families can't spare that level of cash, I hope it does.
There are too many good players of a similar level in the women's game for that to happen IMO. Just look at who Fernandez beat on her way to the final.
Both women deserve huge credit. I just hope there isn't a meltdown when she loses in round 1 of her next tournent or two. Because she will at some point.
One thing that made it even more enjoyable was the flow of the game. No Nadal esque 'routines' or bouncing the ball 20!times like Djokovic or crawling at a snails pace to get the towel after every point.
They just got stuck in.
Hold my beer Piers , horrible man

Piers Morgan is now trying to take credit for her winning the tournament. His words after Wimbledon inspired her apparently.
He's one of those creepy guys that has an unhealthy obsession with successful women. He was one of the ring leaders of the Megan Markhle pile on (largely because it seems he had deluded himself into believing he had a chance with her).
He's a bit like that Hopkins character in that he really is best ignored and hopefully he'll be marginalised to the same extent she was.
Indeed, it was the most enjoyable match I’ve seen for ages with , as you say, a consistent flow and non stop action.
Add in Iga Swiatek, another teenager, and the ladies game looks like it has an exciting few years coming up.
Much more entertaining than watching most men’s games !
So predictable.

Womens tennis is in great shape, so competitive. Who wants to see the same two or three names compete for the slams? Not me although appreciate men’s tennis has had three of its greatest ever players careers line up at same time.
I really hope Osaka gets herself sorted, clearly struggling and I’m not sure her heart is in the sport just now.
Already looking forward to the Australian Open!
Never knew she was fluent in mandarin. If her manager doesn't get her some absolutely enormous sponsorships this month he needs sacked

Daniil Medvedev wins the opening set v Novak Djokovic - 6-4.
Djokovic losing the plot and smashing his racket. Just switched on so no idea what it was about. No exactly a great example to any young folk watching. Hope he loses.
Medvedev goes two sets up - 6-4!
One more set required.
Medvedev breaks at the start of the third set.
