Dont know TBH
Vick would be a quick fix but Kolb would only get better with game time. But Vick can run :greengrin

I have to say, it's refreshing to have 2 Jets fans posting on here who haven't given me an absolutely doing because you beat us! Cheers! :greengrin
DH - I've used adthe.net the last few weeks - the games have been proper high quality streams, which have been brilliant. Couldn't find anything on Saturday though, as the Big Ten Network is an internet based streaming site, which requires a subscription - don't think the game was being shown anywhere else.
I don't mind not seeing our every game - so long as there's a decent game on ESPN as an alternative - the Florida @ Tennessee game was a good alternative :agree:
Bobcats mascot rocks! :greengrin
Very sad to read that Broncos WR Kenny McKinley has been found dead at his home in Colorado, through a suspected self-inflicted gun-shot wound.
He looked a great prospect with them last season, playing a few times as a rookie, but he was injured and placed on their reserve back in December.
He was only 23 - tragic.

Does anyone know if the green bay v Chicago game is on tv on Monday?
Denard Robinson is continuing his Heisman level performances, with 132 yards of offense already, with 5 and a half minutes played, and 14-0 in front against Bowling Green.
Brilliant!
I believe it is allthough I haven't actually checked.
Games on Sunday night, channel 4. Jets will have been on all three broadcasters live game first 3 weeks of the season. Think they got another 3/4 before the play-offs as herd they are to be most shown team this season :greengrin.
Take it you got a stream. You should be good next week too. Let me know if you struggle as I've watched big 10 games before. Herd Robinson could be out rest of the season. What happened? Did he take a bad one?
Watching the Buckeyes roll over the Eagles. Bit of a non entity, 24-0 end of the first quarter :faf:.
Awesome  (not aimed at you, but the fact) - Sky Sports seem to go through phases with various teams. Last season, it was the Cowboys and Giants, this year it seems to be the Jets and Saints. Good for those who follow them, a nonsense for those of us who despise them!
I think the Patriots will get another 2 - vs the Dolphins and vs the Colts. If they DON'T show those games, I'll go spare.
He'll be back next week - just a twisted knee in the second - he was back on his feet and walking around the line with a headset on through the second and said he was fine when interviewed at the end of the game. Forcier getting hurt as well was a bit of a blow, but he also didn't seem too bad.
Pleased with how we've started, but the second half is going to be the hardest of our schedule. At Indiana next weekend then we host the Spartans in Ann Arbor. Should be able to see both of these, as the Indiana game is on ESPN2 and the Michigan State game SHOULD be on ESPN America.

Very tempted to stay up and watch the Jets game tonight. I really must start getting into college football, always find it really difficult to get my head round how the playoffs work; I've been following St Johns in basketball for a couple of years but they don't have a football team :grr:
I'm not going to bother - should be a cracking game, but a) I'm up at 5.30 tomorrow, and b) It's the Jets and Dolphins :greengrin
If you end up supporting Ohio State, I'm labelling you as a glory hunter :greengrin
We had to work hard for our win over Buffalo tonight, in a game I thought should have been fairly straight forward.
Some game in the Superdome - into 4 remaining minutes of OT, with the Saints having missed a 29 yard field goal attempt to win it. Falcons need to burn up some time before scoring on their drive here...
As a jet, islander, met and pacer fan, glory has been very limited. Ohio you say?
Wooft! Falcons stun the Saints in the Dome, kicking a 47 yard field goal in overtime. Prior to the kick, they had a false start, getting back from 42 yards to 47, but he held his nerve and popped it straight through! Huge result for Atlanta.
Some results from tonight:
Tennessee Giants 29-10 New York Giants
Pittsburgh Steelers 38-13 Tampa Bay Bucs
Cincinnati Bengals 20-7 Carolina Panthers
Baltimore Ravens 24-17 Cleveland Browns
Dallas Cowboys 27-13 Houston Texans

Philadelphia Eagles 0-7 Jacksonville Jaguars
Oakland Raiders 7-7 Arizona Cardinals
San Diego Chargers 0-0 Seattle Seahawks
Later:
New York Jets @ Miami Dolphins
Well, at least you're consistent with the New York area teams, save the Pacers - I know a guy from Uni who's a Giants, Yankees, Penguins and Lakers fan - go figure...
Plenty of New York teams, if you do feel you have some connection/reason for chosing teams from here.
Rutgers (NJ), Syracuse, Army, Columbia, St John Fisher Cardinals to name some of the more well known sides...
Just out of interest, why not the Knicks or the Nets (I know they're NJ, but potato, potAto)
Two words - Reggie Miller! Loved that guy when I was growing up. I guess it would have been the Nets otherwise.
Cheers for the suggestions, recognise some of those names from the big east.
I've just got into American Football this week. Went round my mate's house for a game of Fifa and ended up playing Madden all week. I'd only ever watched one game, when the Giants were in the Super Bowl, just because Tynes is their kicker! I didn't really have a clue what was going on but now I appreciate the strategy a bit more I find it actually a decent sport.
Was in the pub earlier and enjoyed the game that went to OT that was on although I have no idea who it was between, and the Dolphins-Jets game is keeping me captivated - which is a problem because I can't switch it off but I have a lecture at 9am. Just grab some coffees in the morning! :greengrin
Excellent win this morning. Sanchez was brilliant again for the most part, L.T gets better and better and how good is the Terminator? Missed Revis in the first half as Wilson was struggling and I'm not sold on Slauson but have to be happy with the response after the Ravens game!
3 teams sitting at 2-0 now - it's going to be a very hard fought division this year, with second place likely taking the Wild card.
Though I won't easily admit it, it was the result I was hoping for before kick off. Yeuch - I feel grimey even saying that! :greengrin

Is the game next week SNF or MNF? If not I got some bad news for you cause it's not going to be on sky.
Now, now it's the same for all of us. Second half of the season is going to be very intresting. Just a pitty you will be out of it by the time you play us.
What you make of the Longhorns? Very, very surprised at the result. UCLA are utter rubbish.
Did you stay up for the game? It was another cracker. Sanchez proved me wrong yet again. Thought LT looked great again but I do worry about Greene although he did look ok in the 4th.
If you can get into college football you won't regret it. Don't worry about the play-offs, just pick a team who wont make them :greengrin.
I'm the same. Just couldn't take to either of them. Ended up going for the Sonics and look whats happened to them :grr:. Now I don't have an NBA team :boo hoo:. The one thing I truly hate about American Sports
The Chiefs will surprise a few people this year and should be in there with a shout in 2 or 3 years time.
Looks like we got our answer. Even hearing that Kolb could be on his way out the door to Cleveland
Enough with the Buckeye bashing young man:greengrin. I'm a glory hunter, I support Hibs :faf::faf::faf:.
Falcon's game was great and I was impressed by their O. How's about Tony Gonzalez, a true leg-end. Always been one of my fav all time players and a shoe in for the hall of fame.
Wilson will def come good I've no worries there. I'm more worried about Ducasse but your right either way. Our O line looks week and I think that we let Faneca go at least one season to soon.
It is indeed my friend :top marks.
The game is Monday night next week, so will be on ESPN (or Channel 4). Either way, it should be broadcast - 8.30pm (ET) start though, so being awake might be a whole other problem :greengrin
If we can keep putting numbers up on our offense, we might still be thereabouts when we come to play you - The fact that we have both Michigan State and Iowa in Ann Arbor is a bonus and Penn State haven't looked fantastic thus far, though they're still 3-1 and I can't really see us doing much against them! Wisconsin will probably be a right-off, as they look good right now.
I don't think Texas are the team they were last season - I saw them play Texas Tech and thought their defense had a few gaping holes in it then. UCLA aren't ranked though, so it was a pretty big upset!
I've never really been able to get into the NBA in all honesty. One of my closest friends lives in Ohio (don't worry, he's originally from the Lakes, so is a Michigan fan!) is a Pistons fan - he tried to get me into it, when they were in the playoffs against the Celtics a couple of years back, but I just didn't really enjoy it. I've been along to the Amway Arena to watch the Magic a couple of times, and I've enjoyed the experience, but still wouldn't call myself an Orlando fan.
It's unavoidable I'm afraid - it's like a rite of initiation when supporting Michigan :greengrin!
In all seriousness, I was in Columbus a couple of years ago for the big one - didn't have tickets, but we went along to the stadium and watched in the huge square outside, where they had big TV's and thousands of people - I was amongst a fairly sizable group of Wolverine fans and the atmosphere was twice as intimidating as ANY Edinburgh derby I've ever been to - was actually glad we didn't win in the end (it was a pretty close run affair if I recall), as all hell would have broken loose!
As an aside, final score of the week: Chicago Bears 20-17 Green Bay Packers
Meaning:
NFC North
Chicago Bears 3-0
Green Bay Packers 2-1
Minnesota Vikings 1-2
Detroit Lions 0-3
Good for you. At least you won't be labeled a glory hunter :greengrin. I got to be honest though and say they might be a tad hard to follow and I don't think you will get the whole experience if you stick with them. Like I say it's just an opinion but coming from the UK and having no ties I think it's better to go with a bigger team when it comes to college football. You get bigger games, bigger crowds, better atmosphere, better banter and the of chance off catching your team on tv. I know it doesn't mean much when your at Easter Road but believe me it makes a difference when your sitting on your todd on a saturday night in front of a computer screen. Have a look and see if you can catch one of their games and then watch one of these teams (at home).
LSU
Clemson
Virginia Tech
Tennessee
Penn State
Alabama
Michigan
Notre Dame
Texas A&M
and of course the mighty OHIO STATE BUCKEYES.
Like I said it's just my thoughts and would be intresting to see what the story so far has to say on the Subject.
Stick with it what ever you decide though.
Just had a thought. Notre Dame will be playing a game in Dublin in 2012. If you go down that route it's a chance to see your team play a proper competative game.
I'll be honest, I can't see it working.
Nothing compares to the atmosphere of being at a College Football game. Not even the best atmosphere ever experienced at a football ground. The masses who make up the college crowd won't travel for it and by comparison, British/Irish fans are **** at making a decent noise, as it's something we're controlled (by both inhibitions and overzealous policing) not to do.
I was in the Big House a couple of years back to watch Michigan play Michigan State - even though we didn't win, 105,000 people cheering on a side with such zeal, combined with the marching band was something to truly savor!
I'd agree it might be difficult following Marist - never easy following a team just be checking the scores - you need to get a feel for how the team play, styles of offense...Marist definitely aren't a team who are going to be on ESPN at any point during the season and I'd be surprised if they're even on streaming sites.
However, if you can follow them and get properly into it and enjoy supporting the smaller team, I tip my hat to you! I always felt it must be hard for people without affiliations to "chose" a team. I spent some time at Michigan, so the decision is pretty much made for you :greengrin
I'm really more interested in looking at how the whole system works in college football. Different divisions, umpteen bowls, AP rankings, a team called Army etc. Marist have a pretty good site with audio, video etc. enough to keep me updated and interested while I try to figure out the sport at this level! Oh and Pacers legend Rik Smits is a former Red Fox. So that's me sold!
Ayrshirehibs your not the bloke who set up the Jets uk fan club are you .
As for Marist, good for you. College football has got so bad in New York that they have started to import other teams. Know it seems like I keep biging them up but as well as the game in Dublin, Notre Dame have two games in New York/New Jersey this season. Yankee stadium and Meadowlands:thumbsup:.
I even herd that they looking to have a PAC-10 game there :faf:. I mean, wtf is that all about.
You wont be going then . If I can get tickets and more so some place to stay I think I might treat the Mrs to a weekend in Dublin:greengrin.
Did you make the Pats game at wembley? You ever been to an IS game? If so what you make of the atmosphere. Don't think the Dublin game would be that much worse.
Sorry, it might just be because I'm very tired, but IS game?
Nah - in my personal opinion, I can't see College Football ever taking off as much over here, as a lot of the interest/support comes from collegiate allegiance, derived either by locality or attendance at the college. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch the Fighting Irish unless they were playing Michigan, so nah, no interest in going. I should hopefully get to Michigan vs Ohio State and Florida vs Miami next season, so that will suffice for a while.
I did get to the Patriots game at Wembley - was nice to see them in the flesh again, but a bit of a non-event, game wise. I didn't feel that the NFL UK experience was even HALF as good as gameday in the US, but I am biased. No atmosphere ANYWHERE on Earth will compare to our 2002 Superbowl Victory in the Superdome  Hoping to get back to Foxborough next season at some point if I can fit it in whilst I'm in the USA. If not, I'm hoping the schedule will be favourable and perhaps throw a Pats @ Bucs or Pats @ Dolphins game up whilst I'm in Orlando training next Fall.
No I'm not although I have signed up! Looking forward to getting involved :agree:
So going to try and watch my first college game this weekend Florida-Alabama, apparently this as big as games get so hopefully will good :greengrin
Oh and will be following Marist at Drake. Then Jets / Bills on Sunday! Gonna be fun!

found this on the College gameday facebook :greengrin
they have some Stunnin cheerleaders like :love ya!:
Soz, my bag. Ment International Series.
I agree with you that there is no chance of college football taking off over here, which is a real shame. Reckon the size of the US really helps on this occassion, in that a college team is the only decent sports team about for hundreds of miles. You only got to look at the amount of states that don't have an NFL team never mind cities. Having never been to a college game I can't say for def but the atmosphere seems to me to be a hundred times better than the NFL. Again I agree with you regarding the games at wembely. Always been really disappointed and doubt I will be back unless the Jets get a game. That said I think I will try and get over to Dublin as it's an experience. Some of us don't have the life style you know:greengrin. You sound like you got some life mate, and good luck to you, ya big show off .
Have you really been to a Superbowl?
Thought it might have been you cause the bloke comes from Ayr.
Doubt you will be able to do it if your watching the Alabama game but the Stanford @ Oregon game should be a great watch if you don't know the score. It's on ESPN on Sunday lunch time. (Not live but shown as kind of thing).
Hate it when we are the favs to win a game. Hope we pull it off as a win here will set us up nice with the Dolphins and the Patriots playing each other.
And remember we got Santonio to come in after this week:thumbsup:.
Hardly a show-off :greengrin It was a once in a lifetime experience to be honest - I was over visiting family in Rhode Island and they were season ticket holders in Foxborough - made the trip every week. They bought tickets for the Superbowl but couldn't make the game, so we asked if we could buy the tickets. They wouldn't hear of taking money for it, so all we had to pay for were the flights from Boston to New Orleans and accomodation for the overnight!
You really do have to see the campuses in the USA to appreciate just how big collegiate football really is. I've been fortunate enough to spend time studying in 2 Universities over there and almost done my PhD over there. The reason isn't even always the absence of an NFL team. There's a purity about College Football, which sets it apart from the NFL - it's nothing other than personal/team pride and collegiate allegiance. Money doesn't dominate and because of the roster turnover due to graduation etc, it's not (usually) dominated by any one team for too long, though success on the field is creating a trend of recruitment right now for the likes of Alabama, Ohio State and LSU, hence their recent dominance.
As I said, I've spent some time studying in Michigan, so I count as eligible for ticket allocation. I tend not to use it though, as my aforementioned mate (set to be my best man at my wedding in 2 years) manages to get tickets as his brother used to play for the Wolverines and ex-players have a guaranteed ticket allocation for life. Other than flights and spending money, I tend not to pay for anything else, as I stay with my mate (who also picks me up/drops me off at the airport) and the tickets for ex-players and their friends/family aren't charged (unless over a certain amount are requested - the last Michigan vs OSU game generated a lot of interest in tickets for his brother, so he had to pay $100 per additional ticket).
Yip nothing beats them cheerleaders

p.s.
You got a pm.
God how much do I love LT
A few upsets on the cards as we speak! Fourth quarter in most games and
The Browns lead the Bengals.
The Panthers lead the Saints.
The Rams are leading the Seahawks.
Ravens trailing the Steelers.
Detroit also keeping it close against Green Bay.
I'll be honest - my attention to both has been hampered this week due to the Ryder Cup. I did watch the Michigan @ Indiana game yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed what was ultimately a shootout, with the Wolverines coming out on top to remain undefeated and win our first Big Ten matchup! Denard Robinson was electric YET AGAIN! Michigan up to 17 in the rankings, with Michigan State being ranked 16, prior to next weeks matchup in Ann Arbor, which should be a cracker - absolutely miffed that ESPN American aren't showing any games live next weekend, as it's the opening weekend of the NHL - not that I mind the NHL starting again, but I'm a bit pissed it's at the expense of a cracking Big Ten game!
In the big NCAA game yesterday, 'Bama destroyed Florida 31-6.
NFL - Week 4 results

Redskins next week and will need to play a lot better than that!
gonna watch Eagles v Redskins now and looking forward to it with the vick/Mcnab spice on top of it all :greengrin
Michael Vick absolutely hammered driving forward on 3rd down - he ran all the way to the goal line and was sandwiched - all for nothing, as a penalty was called and brought back to replay 3rd and 15. Ouch!

LT was different class. First time he's gone over 100 yards since 0ct 08.
Thought it was an allround good display but you got to remember it was against the Bills. How poor are they :greengrin and how they managed to push the Pats so close is beyond me. Still a great result in terms that the Dolphins and the Patriots play tonight. A bit early for must win games but who ever loses this one could already be out of the running.
New England Patriots 41-14 Miami Dolphins
Oooft! What a SUPERB display last night! Simply breathtaking offense and gave very little up in response! And above ALL else, how utterly sensational were our special teams - Danny Chung and Brandon Tate - Chung blocks a punt and a field goal and returned both for the TD. Brandon Tate took the opening kickoff in the second half and took it from end to end!
That'll do me nicely! I didn't expect to win either game on the road in the last 2 weeks, but that's a HUGE result for us last night, especially before our free week next week, then a home tie against the most brutal defense in the NFL right now.
Arguably, 2 of our hardest rivals are out the way, both on the road, and I'd heavily fancy our chances of beating both the Jets and Dolphins in Foxborough later in the season.
AFC East
New York Jets 3-1
New England Patriots 3-1
Miami Dolphins 2-2
Buffalo Bills 0-4
New England trade Randy Moss to the Vikings for a 3rd round draft pick...
... I actually cannot believe this. I know he wasnt happy with his contract situation but a 3rd round pick?! For Moss? Still has plenty left in the tank even at 33.
I'll be honest, though he might still do decent things in Minnesota, I've not been impressed with him this season and I'm going to guess his team-mates have been having issues too, as Brady hasn't looked for him all too often this season.
I'm not exactly sure on his numbers, but I'm fairly sure he's still in single figures for catches this season, and didn't receive anything on Monday night.
3rd round pick isn't a terrible trade either. Hopefully we can put it to good use and bring in a decent backup running back or QB. It's a shame Denard Robinson isn't a senior at Michigan yet, or I'd be touting him to follow Brady to Foxborough! :greengrin
I think the Moss trade works for both outfits. Pats are stacked with good draft slots next year.
Vikings now have; Moss and Rice wide, Harven in the slot, AP at half back with sicano (sp) and of course old father time at QB. Superbowl or bust!
Having looked at it more, we apparently have 2 picks in each of the 1,2,3,4th round so could work out well for us.
He hasnt appeared much this season that is true but he is a big game player and has the experience. Welker will lead the line well with Tate no.2 but Tate is only really starting his pro career this season after injury ended his first season early (although Tate is looking some player from returns!).
His calibre is unquestionable, no doubt, but he hasn't been a big-game player since early last season. He's been utterly non-existent since this season started - not because of injury/not playing - he's been on the park, but not finding space or running routes quickly enough to get into a spot where Brady can find him.
His TD vs the Jets in the Meadowlands is probably the only thing of note he's really achieved this season. I wish him well, but won't dwell on him going.
We're in a great position to build a team for the future and our draft picks, plus our current depth of squad is VERY encouraging!
Do you know if this is going to be a regular thing? Really hope not. Don't mind a bit of NHL but it's a bit like baseball for me, in that they play to many games and I can't get to excited until the run in for the play-offs.
Ha Ha, keep dreaming mate. If he keeps it up and becomes the player we think he will he is a shoe in to be a first round draft pick. So unless your Pats want to start having some really, really bad season's (1990 :faf: )he's a cert for some where like the Raiders or the Rams.
I'm guessing it's just because it's the opening weekend in all honesty and a lot of the games are being played in Europe just now. A lot of the NHL games are normally evenings, whereas the NCAA has games on at 12.00pm and 3.30pm ET (5.00pm and 8.30pm), so it SHOULD just be this weekend. There are games being shown "as live" on the Sunday morning.
As per the above post, we have picks in the 1st, 2nd AND 3rd rounds in the next draft, so you never know  - I'd rather avoid watching us going back to the bottom of the barrel again - besides, the Lions seem quite comfortable down there just now. Robinson is still 2 years away from being drafted by anyone anyway - in all seriousness, I reckon he'll have his pick of franchises interested in his services. He should go for an early pick though.
Not on ESPN anyway - pop adthe.net into google, and click on the first link - there's a link at the top of the page with "Live Sports" and their streams are second to none! I'm avoiding posting the link, as no doubt admin will go spare, but it broadcasts channels like NBC, ABC, CBS, ESPN, which we simply can't get over here anyway.
While he hasnt popped up enough to win us yards so far, he still has that ability to pull off something incredible like the one handed catch against the Jets... I just feel our receivers are weaker with his leaving. Welker was always going to be the #1 this season and onwards but I fear our other options (Tate being our #2) are inexperienced and therefore weak if we are going to go a long way this season.
However, our ground game is encouraging and with the multi choices on the ground and Welker in the air... we might be ok...
I just feel like we have lost a serious weapon in trading moss.
im watching the Tennessee @ Georgia game just now :greengrin
Tight game and not the best spectacle - happy we're on top right now.
In a bit of a MASSIVE shock, South Carolina are 21-3 up on the 'Bama Crimson Tide!
Holy hell!
do any of you guys do the College game day picks on facebook?
its difficult to make picks when i go to hibs games but im 13-5 so far this season
Like that call there, going for it on fourth down. Although they just messed it right up.
I've seen the Spartans three times now this season - vs Notre Dame (with their fantastic fake field-goal call in OT to win), last week vs Wisconsin, and today. They are one very impressive team, and I'm not overly ashamed by how convincingly they're going to win this football game.
They're simply better than us.
Oh well, roll on next week :)
Have to admit I'm getting quite in to this college football lark - Alabama trailing as we speak! Having lost 42-0 last week, Marist have just thumped Valparaiso 51-7 - never a dull moment it appears!
Just highlights and snippets here and there - they're never going to be on college game day anytime soon. 2-3 (1-2) so far. I dont think I will read much into todays result as the Crusaders seem to be the division's whipping boys.
Looking forward to the returns of 10 and 24 on Monday!
It was nice to be able to watch the games yesterday without stressing about catching the Pats game for a change, as we had a bye this week :agree:

You know what i love about all this?
All the teams beat each other :agree:
as for green bay, there are only so many injuries you can get in any sport without it falling to bits at some point with losing some key players yesterday i think we could be lucky to reach the play-offs :boo hoo:
good win for the Giants, last two weeks have shown a MASSIVE improvement with the defence and Nicks looks awesome so far. His drops will come as he gains more experience. Eventually he will be unplayable!
These late nights are bloody killing me. Know it's only an hour but roll on the clocks going back. Will be intresting to see Holmes in a Jets jersey now that Sanchez is throwing the ball. As for Revis, he better pull it together after all his crap in the summer. If Moss tears him a new one again he better think about giving some of that money back.
Just getting ready for kick-off. Heres hoping i make it through the 1st quarter and wake up in the morning to a win.
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH FFS. Game has been delayed cause of lightning :grr:.
Just finished watching the highlights. Jets look like they'll be very strong contenders indeed for the Superbowl this year.
Strong offensive performance, though ironically, despite scoring 29 points, the biggest play was probably the defensive one which stopped Farve getting his fourth rallying TD of the night.
The Vikings offense highlighted some of the weaknesses in the Jets' D, but they really do look a strong team. You guys must be happy, as that's all 3 divisional rivals and a fairly ambitious Minnesota team you've downed since the rather poor start vs the Ravens.
We're only 5 weeks in now, but my prediction for the Superbowl is shaping up to be:
NY Jets/Baltimore Ravens vs Chicago Bears/Atlanta Falcons
On holiday this week so managed to catch the MNF game. The Vikings were dreadful in the first half and we really should have had them dead and buried by then. Sanchez was making good throws and decisions however the weather was playing havoc with the ball.I thought the defence was exceptional although Revis looked a bit suspect against Harvin at times. I think over the piece we deserved the win, good sign when you aren't at your best and are still fairly comfortable.
I'd be surprised if the Giants made the playoffs never mind the superbowl.
I'd agree with that - they've looked fairly awful in the occasions I've seen them and don't have much in way of depth.
If asked to stick my neck out, I'd opt for Ravens vs Bears just now, but it's still early doors!
They always say "offense wins games, defense wins championships" - if that rings true, they may as well hand the Vince Lombardi trophy to Baltimore right now.
Neither off you are wrong, and I backed Baltimore at 16/1 to win it at the start of the season. However I just have a gut feeling about the Giants, no one expected anything in 2007 either. Depending on injuries and productivity from the recieving core, and if Jacobs can put being second choice behind him and do what he does best, they can go far. The defence has looked excellent in the last two weeks without Kiwinuka. Who knows?
Didn't make it :boo hoo:. Ended up crashing just after the start of the 3rd. Fricking New York weather ment game didn't kick-off till 2.15 :grr:. Seems that I ended up missing a lot of action and couldn't believe it when I found out the score. From what I seen the Vikings looked poor and Favre was unbelievably p**h. He looked totally out of his debt so to hear he turned it round 4th quarter was a real surprise. I still got to say the've made a big mistake bringing him back this season (especially on the money he's on).
I'm more than happy. Been following the Jets for close on 25 years. You being a Pats fan will be well aware that for most of these we've no been very good. This was the first season in a long time that I actually thought to myself we had a chance of the superbowl (if ever). I'm still not 100% on the left side of our O-Line but other than that we are looking in good shape. If LT can keep it up for the season we have every chance of making it. I know it's said every week but what a pick up he is proving to be. Our running game was good last year and I thought it was a mistake letting Jones go but not any more. Got my order for a new LT jersey in:greengrin.
We've got to be happy with how it's all going. Even our defeat against the Ravens was more down to us. We never got going and if anything it was the penalties that cost us. Thing we had something like 12 on the def alone:grr:. In saying that I still reckon they could still pip us. Or hows about a Pats @ Jets championship game, in the snow:hyper:. Think you are certs for a wildcard and it would be an all time classic.
As for the NFC I reckon you right on the money with the Falcons although I've a wee fancy for the Cardinals. Giants have NO chance.
I hope LT is saving some for Denver on Sunday, if he and Greene are on it then we could be in for a very good win against a suspect Broncos line up. You've obviously been a Jet fan for a lot longer than me but even I find it slightly surreal seeing us so highly rated by everyone!

I'll have to settle for the laptop again, but Michigan are playing Iowa, which is being covered in the US by ABC and ESPN, so I should at least get a decent online feed.
I'm quite surprised the Baltimore @ New England game isn't being shown on Sky, but again, I should manage to get a good feed!
Last night, No. 25 West Virginia beat South Florida 20-6 in one of the most one-sided games I've seen in a long while - surprised there were only 2 scores in it!
Well, 2 defeats on the bounce, but a decent rally against a very powerful Iowa side. I did envisage us hitting a wall in the second half of the season so I'm not overly surprised we're on a bit of a sliding slope just now.
On another matter:
No 1. Ohio State University 18-31 No 18. Wisconsin :greengrin
Needed to beat Miami last night especially after chicago losing to seattle, no chance of play-offs unless the injuries get fit and chicago implode :boo hoo:
BOOM! Baltimore's unbreakable D hits the skids, with the Patriots downing them in Foxborough, in overtime!
Absolutely stoked - we played BRILLIANTLY yesterday, especially slowing down the rushing offense of the Ravens. At one point, we trailed 20-10, but Brady (who didn't have his best game, getting picked twice) found Deion Branch for a TD, before the FG took us into OT, which was won following another successful conversion by Gotskowski!
HUGE result for us, especially with the Jets getting a very good win in Mile High.
