I think the clue was in the book mark bonnar was reading 😁

I finished it last night, probably give it a 4/10.
The ending pee'd me off something rotten; I didn't like the forced romance between Steve Arnott and the Canadian - who was not at all attractive and had the cleanest boiler suit I've ever seen; the bolshy Welsh character was annoying; the Scottish guy who got infected was bland compared to Baz who looked like he really felt it; the rig itself - would they ever stack unsecured oil barrels in middle of the North sea like that so that they could crash to the ground when it was windy/heavy sea?
As RyeSloan says, numerous plot holes.
Re the numbers, there were 60 odd folk on the rig - where are they all? Why didn't they just confine Coake to a locked room so he couldn't do anything?
It was a bit like Vigil, going for a confined space, isolation etc.
Summary: Contrived.
My Grandad was a Platform Safety Manager (second in command guy) and I'd love him to watch it just so he could rubbish every practical thing about it.
2 episodes into The Syndicate on Netflix and really enjoying it so far.
The rig if horrific. Got the last one to go and felt I had to carry on with it.
Aspects of mayflies seemed pointless and offered nothing. On that subject Simons Choice on the iPlayer is good watch and heartbreaking at the same time
Me and my wife have a bit of an understanding that if we hit the point of no return then we would try and do this
A Spy Among Friends.
Guy Pearce brilliant as Kim Philby .
Not a new one but I just watched Wolf Hall, it’s been one I’ve been meaning to watch for ages but just got round to it. Really enjoyed it, wish there had been more than 6 episodes.
Wow, new Vikings of Valhalla now on Netflix, 8 episodes so thats getting binged to death 😀
Line of Duty will just have to wait a wee bit longer 🫣
Will definitely give The Rig a miss based on comments on here
I’d probably say similar re Kaleidoscope on Netflix. It was just ok really. Several annoying characters and the timeline thing was a bit gimmicky.
First episode of Tulsa King was daft but funny all the same. :greengrin
I loved The Last of Us game. Absolutely loved it.
I hope the series does it justice. 🤞
Just finished 1917 on the iPlayer, well worth a watch.
[QUOTE=Peanut Shaz;7224989]I didn’t watch Happy Valley first time round but seeing the adverts for the 3rd series, I thought I’d give it a go and started back at series 1. Wow! It’s fantastic. Great storyline, acting superb, especially Sarah Lancaster and James Norton but many others. I’ve binged for two days and am ready to start on the present third series. It’s every bit as good as Line Of Duty, in my opinion.
Light in the Hall. Welsh series, obvious ending and terrible acting all round (especially the reporter). Avoid.
Happy Valley is very decent, not in the same league as Line of Duty though.
