Looks like curtains for Ange at the end of the season. They might just get rid of him after they're knocked out of the Europa League which will be 2 weeks tonight if they keep playing like that.
It’s Monty time
I think Ange was wrong in it was a poor decision to disallowed their goal but don’t understand why it took as long as it did to make a decision on it .
Absolutely clear foul no idea what he was talking about. Agree made no sense it took so long the commentators seemed to be suggesting the ref was saying something about a glancing blow which didn’t agree with.Assuming commentators can hear the discussion. Wonder if var hear the commentary as think that could influence decisions if they do. What is clear Spurs are very poor. Can’t remember the last time i seen Son have a good game for them and imo never a captain. Ange nearing the exit door imo
Ange surely gone at end of season. He cracks under pressure which we also saw at Celtic briefly. Always quick to blame someone else or VAR. Injuries or not, he hasn’t adapted his squad to play in EPL game which is pretty poor at that level. I keep hearing people say he sticks to his principles but actually he just comes across as stubborn. You need to find different ways to win games.
Yeah, although I didn't think it merited a booking, it was definitely a foul. The TV showed him looking at a replay whilst the VAR check was going on and him being very angry. I couldn't work out why as it was a clear foul.
Commentary definitely do hear VAR. That's the reason we don't have to suffer Andy Walker on Sky up here any more. He repeated something he heard VAR say that was a bit questionable and the SFA went mental at Sky for him going public with it. Good that he's off the airwaves but he was only repeating what the VAR team had said - again a clear sign most of these refs don't like any accountability.
Edit:

He heard them say that giving an offside decision would give the refereeing team an "easy way out".
The guy's family have been receiving death threats for it:

There really are some morons out there.
FWIW I've seen a lot worse tackles than that. He was fully focused on the ball, not his opponent. Similar to a Porto tackle at Ibrox which he was red-carded for when in fact a yellow would have sufficed.
Only because of Gerrard's reaction to it. Hibs actually appealed the red card.
Last night the tackle looked worse than it actually was due to the Liverpool player pulling out just as the Everton player committed himself to the challenge. There was no malice.
The challenge was shocking and Trakowski knew exactly what he was doing. He endangered a player going in a full pelt and high. Mac Allisters foot is planted and going nowhere.
I’m not sure what images or footage you’ve seen but this image says enough for me.

They were both as bad as each other imo although have numerous differentiating factors. Tarkowski made a serious amount of contact for starters, however he also very cleanly won the ball. Porteous barely touches the ball and even when he does it’s in the process of going over the top of it. Porteous also approaches it with much more speed and intensity, two of the factors taken into consideration for serious foul play which are:
Speed
Intensity
Force
Degree of control
Point and extent of contact
I’d suggest Porteous’ was worse in the speed, intensity and degree of control and he’s lucky in terms of force that he didn’t make much contact or else it would have been worse in terms of force as well.
On the point of the Tarkowski challenge, I can’t believe anyone can be of the opinion a yellow was a suitable punishment, short of just wanting to show how against modern football they are.
Var did look at it for a few seconds , deemed only a yellow by none other than mr Paul tierney ,Jurgens mate absolutely has a grudge against us total walloper
I've seen the actual footage, not an picture taken after he'd won the ball cleanly (which is what the image you've posted shows and is therefore highly misleading). I get that under today's rules you have to try to not to have your studs showing in a tackle, but it's a tough ask in the heat of a big game and often players will get their timing wrong. The reaction to this has been way OTT. As the guy's wife says "death threats aren't passion, they're pathetic."
Again, a highly selective take. If you were to freeze the images of most professional footballers going into a tackle, or even just kicking or heading the ball you'll not see them smiling sweetly. Same goes for pretty much any competitive team sport.
The only two incidents I can recall where a facial expression in a picture matches the intent were Neil Simpson's assault on Ian Durrant and Graeme Souness doing likewise to George McCluskey.
I have watched footage at time and numerous time after and it doesn’t get any better every time I’ve watched it. That challenge is a potential career ending one and regardless of what game etc it is, it’s a red every single day of the week.
Agree about the reaction with the death threats etc are totally out of order and those responsible should be dealt with accordingly.
As for the image it’s not misleading to me, he knows, his facial expression shows, he’s off the ground etc and is endangering an opponent regardless if he touched the ball first. He actually follows through with all his might
He’s seen it himself so I’ve no idea how he thinks it’s the wrong decision. He also went on about if something is clear and obvious why did it take so long , simple answer is it shouldn’t have and should have been decided on in about 30 seconds…
Spurs were poor and Son seems to be past his best which must be a concern as he was one if not their main player in recent times . Incredible how quiet Solanke was as well which is probably done to them as a team in they just didn’t do enough.
In this instance getting the ball is totally irrelevant. I don’t think it’s even anything that is a recent thing. Going for someone with your studs, that high, with that type of force is something that deserves a red card. That’s what he did, he went to do the boy and tried to disguise it as getting the ball. It wasn’t just that timing was out or anything like that.
Deaths threats for something like that though. Folk are mental.
Scotland ladies lose 4-0 to Germany. Always going to be a tough game but the performance was largely dreadful.
I don't agree with that at all. That would be a remarkably tricky thing to pull off. He got the ball because that was his intention and is hardly an irrelevance. He was no doubt fired up by the occasion but I don't think he went in with any intent to injure his opponent. The Liverpool lad accepted his apology.
Nonsense Penalty for Everton there.
English Championship is so close this season between 3 teams . That’s Burnley top for now ,might be wrong but were they not a good few points behind the top two at one point?
My dad after telling me hertz tv is showing a rugby game right now . Somethings never change 😆
Both teams that could apply pressure on hearts for that 6th spot are losing

Brilliant result !!! Well done everyone.
Villa up 1-0. Rogers has developed into a top class player...
Vente is in action at 8pm, away to the team who are bottom of the league and have a -32 goal difference.
Hopefully he can increase his tally.
Aberdeen hitting some good form just in time to face the Diets at Hampden
Just saw the Motherwell red card. The way they were talking about it on the radio it was a huge injustice. It was absolutely spot on. He made the clearance and could easily have avoided the contact but didn’t and followed through. I don’t see it as controversial in the slightest.
The Motherwell red card looked incredibly harsh. A coming together during the follow through from a clearance.
One of the teams on my coupon today was Wrexham and I watched the game , Burton had a man sent off 10 minutes in which was a bad start for them considering they are fighting against relegation..
While I was wanting Wrexham to win I did feel a bit sorry for Burton who showed great character and spirit until they lost a penalty in the 71st minute which ex-Hibs striker Fletcher scored . I missed the penalty incident only to see it later , anyone think it’s a penalty ? (1:40 in) …

St Johnstone 1 v 0 Celtic
Balodis
STJ really giving them a game
Don't think Brenda bothered to watch our game against St J last week. Unbelievable that Celtic are not pressing them at the back
Probably as poor a performance from Celtic as I’ve seen , Kuhn and Jota haven’t done much on the wings and Engels looks like a player they paid well OTT for .
Chris Sutton is like a Celtic fan with a mic just willing the baw into the Saintees net
F#cking joke !
whats the deal with the guy running round speaking to the ball boys? im guessing to slow the play down when the balls out so doe that mean we don't have to have them sitting on cones like we do?
I’m getting increasingly worried that Celtic aren’t going to win the cup.
St Johnstone probably won’t hold out till the end but they’re right in Celtic’s face and it’s effective.
my goodness just tuned in, sellick do have their bad days/performances huh
would be nice if it happened more often when playing us
boy are they missing Kyogo
It's been a long season. They're under no real danger from Rangers, thanks to the likes of us. They have been a bit sloppy of late, when the pressure is off.
As we see them do constantly, and did in our cup tie, they will be on it when silverware is at stake.
Don't worry about that.
Celtic have been shockingly bad in this game so far.
