No United should not need penalties to beat Brighton, the fact they did is symptomatic of years of mismanagement post-Fergie.

Taking nothing away from Brighton and I see how you think I’m being disrespectful to them, but I see United vs Brighton as being like Hibs vs Ross County. It shouldn’t even be a contest. United SHOULD (massive emphasis on should) be winning that game comfortably.

U19 tournament final between AZ Alkmaar and Hadjuk Split this evening. Held in Geneva. Incredible Split support judging by the photos on social media. Didn’t help them as AZ won 5-0.
See Hugo Lloris refused to go out for the second half yesterday after a number of altercations with both the coaching staff and players!
Luton player dives in the box for the penalty, i feel for the Boro keeper
2-1
Girona 1 Real Madrid 0
Arsenal u18 vs West Ham u18 youth Cup final just about to start on youtube.
A great first 20 minutes in this youth cup final, arsenal took the lead but now 1-2 west ham, 8k fans cheering them on.
Stream a bit shakey though.
what a strike Leeds 0 Leicester 1
thank goodness for Var...offside still 0-0
that's a reprieve, probably only a matter of time
1-0 Aston Villa
lovely goal Leeds 1 Leicester 0
I have to say, Villa under Emery have been probably the most improved team this season… how where they so near relegation before 🤔
Got laughed at on here for saying that's a top 8 squad man for man, got players like Bailey, Kamara and Coutinho(who has not been the flop the media think, good last year, bad start but looked good under emery)not even in the squads due to form of others/injury.
Shows just how bad a manager Gerrard actually is.
taken a while to come but finally the **** up in the leeds defence 1-1
Barndoor Bamford slips it past the wrong side of the post
Always has been imo. Worked wonders with a hilariously poor Arsenal squad, got them to multiple finals and fifth place finish, which after Wenger leaving was always the best they were getting for a few years whilst they paid of their stadium etc.
If Villa make Europe, with the money behind them as it is there's a serious case for pushing for 4th next year. 4th richest owners in the league(I think, might be off by one give or take), 20k on the waiting list, mental all the focus is on Newcastle rather than Villa
Fair play to Fulham and Brentford as well, two teams having freakishly good seasons for their squads
Emery done well at Arsenal to start but there's some major revisionism going on here. Got to 1 final and put in a dreadful performance. Should've got top 4, only had beat one of Palace, Wolves, Leicester or Brighton. Got 1 point, totally blew it. That was 4 of the last 5 games.
The run the following season coupled with the football on show rightly saw him binned. Arteta then won a trophy months later Vs the same opponents.
He's a good manager for Villa, Sevilla, Villareal levels. Big clubs. He's struggled at the only 2 really big clubs he's managed, Arsenal and PSG.
Absolutely nothing to do with paying off any stadium either.
Nothing I've said is bollocks.
Not at all, he is an excellent manager in the Europa league. I spoke about his time with Arsenal, hence why I didn't mention all the European trophies he didn't win with Arsenal?
I'd definitely suggest reading posts and the ones they are in reply to before posting. Cameron also didn't mention his Europa league wins. The conversation isn't about that.
Definitely the most successful club.
But there are massive differences, being the Europa league final is one of the most watched sporting events in the world, same with the super cup, winning it 6 times in recent years Definitely makes you big. Also sevilla have a big following.
Anyone in Europe that is under 25 doesn't know arsenal as a team that wins the league, just a few FA cups. They will know sevilla as a club that regularly wins the Europa. Not a massive achievement nowadays but still. Also we get much more press about English football in Scotland so it can be over inflated and the Europa is a much smaller deal in the uk than it is in the content for some reason
Don’t normally get excited about the EPL but really looking forward to tonight’s title decider Man City v Arsenal
Citee two games in hand five points behind
Haaland is a robot
How on earth did somebody not see this wasn't a penalty btw ?😳.

Alot of hype for this game and I'm in the same boat excited for this one.
As an Englishman with no ties to any clubs down here not really bothered who wins as I just want to see some end to end football and an exciting game.
Can't see arsenal playing for the point so I guess this game is going either way, a Man City high scoring victory or an away win.
Arsenal do have the quality in the team to beat City but its a big ask and all 👀 on Haaland for me.
It’s the first English game I’ve been excited about watching for a good while. I’m working until the second half kicks off, hopefully it’s still a contest by then.
Forest miss an early penalty.
Arsenal have the more difficult run in so almost feel a win is the only positive outcome for them tonight.
1-0 The Hammers
1-0 City. Booo
Arsenal rattled already
What a player de Bruyne is. Just quietly elegant, like a Rolls Royce on the pitch.
Very effective crowding the middle by City. A heat map would show almost everybody and the ball in the middle third, Arsenal so far unable to find the space and movement. A few minutes ago the Man City back three were closer to the centre circle than the 18-yard box, Arsenal trying to find a route from the back but stifled.
Man City are exceptional.
City (and DeBruyne) have timed their improvement well and they look the real deal right now (at the right time).
For reasonable periods this season I've doubted them both though.
Arsenal have really had the belief knocked out of them over the past month - after having looked to be the real deal for so much of the season.
I have never doubted for a moment that City would catch Arsenal and have said so on here. It's easy to look great when there is no pressure, but City have been here so many times. It's invaluable experience. They just know they have the ability to come out ahead when the pressure is applied.
"And dat's dat", as was said in Goodfellas when Tommy was whacked. It's all over.
Men against boys.
Switched over after the goal to Nottingham forest and Nico Williams getting stretchered off with Dr's on the pitch
2 - 1 Nottingham F, important goal
I hate VAR
Loadeh *****. It’s like watching Celtic v Ross County. Only one team ever going to win this.
2-1 Liverpool
That 1st half has really shown how man city are levels above the rest of the league
Man City fans celebrating like it’s a pre-season friendly.
Game over.
So easy.
3-0.
City cruising here, I think the inexperience of Arsenal has been shown up in last few weeks, they're a very good team but mentally not ready to win the title.
Partey has been shocking, if he was out though there would be calls they lost the title because of that.
Arsenal have collapsed even more than I thought they would. Another season with zero trophies after all that money spent.
De Bruyne is one of those players that’s worth the ticket price alone,Dribbling skills of Iniesta and the eye for a pass like Xavi…a joy to watch
3 - 1 Forest big win, but blow to Brightons European plans
Chelsea 2-0 down :faf:
West Ham should have had a pen there. Again, I hate VAR. pointless
Lampard's impressive record continues
It's all relative with Arsenal. They have paid a price for the previous two results but they still came to the Etihad at the end of April with the chance to go eight points clear at the top.
I have to pause to let that sink in, because that's borderline ridiculous progress for a club that hadn't even qualified for the CL for six seasons.
There are a few positions to bolster or upgrade in the summer, and keeping the likes of Saka and Saliba is essential, but the money will be there (and the expectations likewise).
City are very very good and very, very strong. But Arsenal on form still play the prettier football :greengrin
Sheffield United after scoring again 2- 0 , Hecky's going up .
