he won’t last long at killie either

He's just got Killie through a tough tie against a Scandinavian side who traditionally are very tough for Scottish teams due to them being mid season. By all accounts they then played well away in Copenhagen who finished above Man Utd in the UCL last season.
The reactions of some football fans are just baffling.
Derek McInnes is probably near the bottom of the list of managers in the SPL likely to lose their job this season.
Terrible VAR intervention to rule out Bournemouths last minute winner
How they can call that a factual decision and not send the ref over is baffling

Che Adams scores winner for Torino in a 2-1 win over Atalanta
My word does Shankland look out of shape.
Would be amazed if anyone spends any kind of money for him now.
Have the Motherwell Ultras moved or had a fall out with the club? No sign of them in their normal place at the game this afternoon
Some goal by Melkersen

Ask anyone who was in Luzern last year if they thought it was meaningless. Or that got to experience watching Hibs at a place like Villa Park (despite the result). And then there’s the money the club will have made and that’s without getting to the group stages. Between that and the experiences for supporters, it’s far from meaningless.
Ché Adams scored for Torino Vs Atalanta this evening.
Liam Henderson starring for Empoli as they are currently 2.0 up at the Stadio Olimpico v Roma with less than 25 minutes to go.
I don't disagree with any of that. It's a grand day out for the fans, similar to Scotland at the Euros. But in terms of the European competitions themselves I simply think there are far too many qualifying rounds played at absurdly early stages of the season. I include the so-called Champions League in that, an event I think should comprise solely of actual champions (as it did when known as the European Cup). Making it harder to get a European place would incentivise clubs to work harder at getting better and would hopefully raise the standard of our game.
Access to that higher level shouldn't come easy though. Scraping fifth shouldn't be too big an ask for a club of Hibs' size in Scotland, yet even that looks have slipped beyond us. If you scrapped Euro qualification for fifth place and reinstated qualification for the winners of the League Cup that would help focus minds on success.
