I know that there is no doubt who will win it in November.

I was using the law enforcement officers flanking him as evidence of how much of a powder keg this election will be if it doesn’t go Trump’s way.

For them to so openly stand alongside him, given all he has done - including inciting a riot that caused a the deaths of their fellow professionals - just says to me that all bets are off with regards to how many will react to a Trump loss.

Yes but the Democratic Party has changed considerably over the centuries (as have the Republicans, obviously). So Mississippi used to vote for them because they were pro-slavery, and essentially stopped as soon as the Democrats ceased opposing Civil Rights.
